I need some help understanding the scholarship limits and how next year will work.
Under current yearly restrictions, we are limited to 15 scholarships per year. We currently sit at 17, but because 5 of the commits have already enrolled, they count against 2012. That leaves 12 scholarships claimed for 2013. Does this meen that we could have up to 3 early enrollees next year and that they would count towards the 15 allotted for 2013? That would then allow us to bring in 18 next year, with three allocated to 2013 and 15 towards 2014?
I do understand that there is an overall limit, but for this discussion, I am not worried about that.
Penn St's recruiting sucks. They are ranked worse than 13 of 14 SEC teams beating Missouri by a couple of spots. Get used to losing even more than normal.
Guess that depends upon which service you are relying on. At least one national service has Penn State at 24, and I know for a fact that there is not one service out there who has 13 of the SEC teams ranked at 23 or better. WHAT WAS THAT? OH, YOUR MOMMY IS CALLING. BYE BYE!
We expect our student athletes to be capable of reading. That's not a pre-req at most SEC schools for their football players. Sure the SEC is a football factory but the guys coming out of that system end up working at Wal Mart if they can't hack it in the NFL.
