Add a 6th rounder in there because Daily Norseman is reporting that we swapped only Tennessses 6th rounder and we still have ours according to Spielman!!!!!


I believe the trade was Jefferson and their 7th for both our 6's

Just made my 2nd selection of the 2nd round, this has how it's gone so far. I have traded for our new younger starting strongside backer and just drafted our new weakside backer, I drafted a very good DT and traded for a good young DT to add to the rotation, i've also got us what is IMO the best WR in the draft.

I wanted to draft Patterson and Bray, Thomas was just to good to pass up where I got him. I think I have addressed our needs pretty well thus far.

So whats the scoop on Tyler Bray?

He is a big kid, 6'5 or 6'6 he has an excellent arm, can make all the throws, hes a little immature and he's not very mobile, I think in the right system he will be a very good pro, luckily we would have the luxury of sitting him for at least 1 full season, which will help quite a bit IMO.

I don't like his completion percentage never being above 60% in college.... But the Vikings would need a different type of QB as back  up compared to the weak arm Ponder if that ever went sour. 

I agree Simmion however in the few Tennessee games i've watched and all the things I have read about Bray show that he doesn't just dump the ball off much, he seems to try to get the ball downfield, so that should be coachable and you have to like 3600 yards 34 td's and 12 int's this past season and he will be working with Patterson who he knows so the bonding has already begun. He also holds more single game Tennessee passing records than Manning does.

Sold, I have said I wanted a different type of QB as a back up to change things up.  And I don't mean different by Webb running around.  A guy that can and is not afraid to throw downfield.

Not so much this draft but maybe 3 years down the road, did any of you see the video of this RB out of high school ????  The kid was just signed to full a scholarship ...he's fast, agile and oh ya....weighs 350 lbs.
