Arod option for yanks??

February 1, 2013 9:39 am

Here's the thing, this guy at the end of the day is still an athlete, by nature he's a competitor and in this case a competitor with an ego bigger than MLB itself. This guy needs the attention and will do anything for it, so this being said what would happen if when he comes back the yanks just sit him on the bench every single game? Would this guy take that just for the money or would he approach the Yankees with some sort of offer to end things? This is getting close to a no turning back point for the yanks and day by day more damage is being done to an already fragile relationship. I know it sounds crazy to bench him like that and get no return, but I just don't see how this guy can survive his type of stuff much longer, whether its true or not, it's just a mess with this guy.

heres how i see it. either he comes back and can be worth some production. if hes still (with some miracle) an above average 3rd basemen or DH, then play him. hes not going anywhere and its not worth cutting off the nose to spite the face.

if hes terrible however, then we bench him, maybe release him. it all depends on what he can do.

this is the rational thing to do.....but damn, I just can't stand him. I really would rather see the Yankees lose over a 100 games this season than see ARod play for the team a single inning. I usually go to about 12 to 15 games a season....I know, is not the most, but its not the least. Anyways, this season? Zero games, unless I know ARod is not playing. The guy is a joke, he brings shame to the organization. To think this guy gets to wear the same colors that Bernie Williams, and the likes wore? Nope, cannot do it, cannot stand him. I do so pray they find a way to send his sorry ass to Miami.....even better, to the Mets.......even more better, the Rag Sux.

I don't hate him either, I sure don't like him. It is clear that the Yankees have some major problems. And Arod sorta represents what is being wrong with them. I wish they would start drafting and devolping young players. ARod is a me guy, the team is full of me guys. It is a very unlikeable bunch. It's just the way I feel. I guess if the team loses a 100 games, maybe changes for the better are made.
