Is there a bigger puss ever in the history of The NBA than Dwight Howard?? This guy is so soft it's amazing.

I heard an ESPN Announcer say he was the best big man in the game and about spit out my drink. This guy is a clown.

as a Lakers fan i have to say that even though he's imo the most imposing and most talented center in the game even i'm starting to see the immaturity and softness the guy has...

He's playing with a torn labrum in his right shoulder. When Shannon Brown swiped down on the ball it caused Dwight's arm to go numb along with pain in the shoulder area. This is an injury that could require surgery. He's playing through the pain. He played through a lot worse pain last season with the back injury. How exactly is he soft?

They said it would be like that for the rest of the season - so Howard is not soft. The only thing soft is the brains of these posters

Thats still being physically soft even though he (thinks) he acts mentally tough. Funny that kobelina downplays the injury because he needs his big men to win and do defense for him as he had throughout his overrated career. He is not even playing tonight so for all intents and purposes he is fragile.

simple jack, batting .1000 with your Kobe fixation, as usual, by somehow managing to work him into every post on every thread you decide to chime in on...amazing!

Don't you think lying on the floor for that long is a little over dramatic?
Not saying I am tougher but I've dislocated my elbow why playing tennis, I got off the court and deal with it there.  Many football players played with a broken arms, hands, feet; some had dislocated fingers, had them snap back in and continued playing.

But a labrum must be much more painful?

D. Howard should have played soccer in Europe!

So, playing through pain and a torn labrum = being soft?

Howard is about to finish his THIRD losing season in seven years in the NBA. And this on a team with two Hall of Famers on it. Wow, what a difference maker!

Horrible logic. Just because a football player had a dislocated finger snapped back into place doesn't mean that a torn labrum isn't painful. Plus, Dwight is playing through it. Whether lying on the floor was overdramatic or not also doesn't mean that he wasn't in significant pain along with the numb arm. Then you bring up soccer? He's not faking an injury.

It's funny how The Laker Fans come to this bums defense after all he has been a Laker for such a long time. Can't wait to see what you think when he is gone next year.

If I was a Laker Fan I would be pissed with Howard. If Howard was a descent player paired up with Kobe and all the other talent this team should have the best record in the league. Instead he is a cancer in the locker room and to the coach like he always is, no way he will be back next year.

I understand rooting for your team but sticking up for the pu $$ y who is going to give your team their worst record in years I don' get??

Simple jefe's kobina protection plan aside, there are bigger things going on if howards injury is indeed legit. Undergo surgery which is the right thing to do for his future or play on as kobina seems to INFER by downplaying a serious injury. We know howard is can be selfish with regards to conducting himself in a trade scenario but is the faker org and bigman dependent kobina being selfish by forcing howard to play through this injury? Winning wont solve his shoulder problem unless its fake.

He missed a few games when he originally injured the shoulder. It's not a fake injury. I know it is difficult for you to do, but don't be so dumb.

Difference is that the football didn't lay down on the floor for grimmacing in pain for 10-15 minutes.

If the team doctor cleared you to play, you are ready to play.   If it required to play through pain, then be it as every other NBA player had.   If one is in so much pain to play, then stay off the court and let other players have a chance.
Even for a guy like Kobe, how many times had he played through pain, injury?   As long as Kobe had played, I don't ever see him lay down on the court for that long?
Then you bring up soccer? He's not faking an injury.
You mean fake pain right?

Difference is that soccer players will continue to play after a fake pain.   If it's a real injury, they will be off the field in a couple of minutes.

So which one is D. Howard?  Fake pain but he stopped playing or real injury but he want to lay down on the court for a long time to absorp attention?

He has a torn labrum. Doctors say he shouldn't do anymore damage to the shoulder by playing. Obviously he can still play effectively through whatever pain his has with the injury. But when someone swipes down hard on him like Shannon Brown and reaggravates the injury, it is going to hurt a lot. It caused his arm to go numb as well. He didn't lie on the floor for 10-15 minutes.

He wasn't faking pain either. He has a torn labrum and the injury was reaggravated. Of course it is going to hurt. He didn't finish the game and he is out tonight. You really think he is faking the injury or faking the pain?

LR

I understand about injury and pain, I certain can empathize how one feel/react after getting hurt.  I really don't want to question one's toughness or softness.

It's just that D. Howard irritated the heck out of me for being a drama queen the last couple of years.   How he put Orlando on the limb going back and forth with his trade demands, got Orlando best coach, GM fired, how unwilling he was to commit to a team (LAL) etc....  That tells me he's hungry for attention, he wants more articles! ...... Could he have magnified his injury to get more attention?

If one is a professional athlete, first be a professional.

Lakersrule:  your dialogue through this thread is the exact reason why you are a top Lakers fan on these boards in my opinion.  You use your brain to judge objectivity, even when fellow Lakers fans are seemingly all on the other side.  You got my respect.
