So who in the hell is the toughest big man in the game or the best for that matter? Everyone says he is because he is.

He wasn't faking pain either. He has a torn labrum and the injury was reaggravated. Of course it is going to hurt. He didn't finish the game and he is out tonight. You really think he is faking the injury or faking the pain?

People dont realize that what they say tells alot about who they are and what they have done.  Athletes routinely play through injuries and pain that would sideline a non athlete.  If you have ever been in the same situation with the same injury then and only then can you say  an athlete is "soft" if you were "harder" than he/she was in the same situation.

Well with how weak the centers are in The NBA you are probably right, but that is not saying much. I still wonder how you Lakers Fans are going to feel next year when he is gone and wasted a whole NBA Season of yours.

Will you guys still think he is such a great player? Just wondering?

I have a torn labrum ten/eleven years while playing tennis, I can't even serve without pain since.   There is also pain on the shoulder after every few strokes, the impact of hitting tennis ball hurts.   By the way, I am not the only one having a torn labrum in the groups that I play with.

I have it, I know how it feels; however, it doesn't hurt near as much as a dislocated elbow, shoulder or even twisted ankle.   No-one I played with laid on the court for several minutes with an upper body pain - that's all I want to say.

I don't think you realize that the Lakers not acquiring Dwight Howard, means the Lakers would have retained Andrew Bynum and in turn NOT have a player all season so far.

In terms of Howard and pain, seriously ... his current injury, coming back from back surgery, if it was Andrew Bynum we'd already be thinking this is season ending.  No it's Dwight Howard, anybody expecting him to play at optium levels with injuries have their expectations out of wack.  The reason why he'll be a commodity in the NBA is he can get healthy and as you mentioned not a lot of true big men in the game right now, heck ... a Greg Oden who is as fragile as glass is being considered again for a few NBA teams.

When the Lakers are mathamatically out of the playoffs, then it's a done season ... for now, they are still in the running.

No possible way to make that conclusion.  Bynum was traded in August.  Nearly 4 months later he hurt his knee at a bowling alley (I'm assuming in nearby Philly?).

Had Lakers kept Bynum, there is no reason to believe he would have been doing what he was, where he was, and hurt his knee.

So you made this thread shouting acting as if you know it all, but in reality you didn't. You start the post claiming you spit out your drink when you heard an announcer say Dwight is the best in the game. In return to my response, you claim that I'm right in saying Dwight is the best? Think before you post.

Will you guys still think he is such a great player? Just wondering?

Everyone in the world knows and can't deny he is a great player. Laker fans were wanting him for more than a year before they got him.

Hey ATFOOL no one was on here shouting acting like they knew it all, that's your job. No he is not the best in the game that would be Duncan even at his age. I did think before I post, I was just bringing up a topic didn't mean to get your little Lakers panties in a bunch.

Everyone in the world knows and can't deny he is a great player. Laker fans were wanting him for more than a year before they got him.

My point exactly so how are you going to feel when he is gone after a year, again before you point out some obivious fact this is just my opinion. But I think if they don't switch coaches again then Howard is gone.

I know you like to think everyone is hating on The Lakers but get over it I actually like the Lakers some and think Kobe is one of the greatest ever. I just think they made a bad move on this guy, I would take several big forwards and move them to center before I would want Howard.

So for the real Lakers Fans not ATKFOOL, I was not knocking your team any just Howard.
