Yes, but it took me a long, long time to reject my indoctrination. Much of my youth was spent in constant fear of God watching me, struggling with weird ideas about sex. And even when I finally started to reject it, for a time I was fraught with guilt and uncertainty...made to feel like I was a bad person. Many former theists tell the same story.
Science doesn't teach us to see all sides when some of the sides include things like magic and demons and divine intervention.Inaccurate. Science teaches us to investiage all possibilities no matter how far fetched.
As I said before, when NASA plans a trip to the moon, they do not include "what if God blows on the rocket and sends it off course" in their calculations. You don't know this.
Not suprised you didn't take the bait on this one Jason. Weak effort on my part.I only get angry when people shove their sky daddy in my face.
You need Jesus.
What makes me think the Zoo Boat is a lie? What makes me think demons, giants and cockatrices are a lie?
If there were no Christians, there wouldn't have been anyone protesting scientific research.
If Christians had their way, the reaserch would be illegal and we'd never find out.
"What other people think" could prevent a loved one from being cured. "What other people think" could quite literally kill millions.
Need it? Interesting question. How basic are we getting? Learning is, essentially, all science. Trial and error, observation of how things work, etc.
That day has come and gone, and will likely come again, lol.So you DO seek answers.
Really. How many scientists do you suppose are working on the cure for cancer that involves chanting to Kokopelli?
Maybe chanting to Kokopelli holds the cure for cancer...you can't prove it doesn't. Still, any scientist would laugh at you if you suggested such a thing.
I don't know that NASA doesn't include "God's breath" in their trajectory calculations? I most certainly do know that.
One third of all Americans teach their kids that the Zoo Boat was literally true. Would you agree then that one-third of all Americans lie in this regard?
How about an adult that believes the WWE is real? What?
Maybe it should...I would add Islam and Judaism at the very least to those two.
But sure, if you show me a religion that isn't based on fantasy and lies, I very likely won't protest it or hate it. I mean, you insist atheism is a religion, so in your view I obviously don't hate ALL religions because I don't hate atheism.
It's kind of a simplistic view to say you shouldn't care what other people think, when what other people think can have dramatic effect.Ok.
It's funny how most people can grow past Santa but not Gwwaaaad-a.
