Celtics 102 I really don't like this team and never had.  Was going to say 80 just because, but with this road trip, I just don't know and after a Brooklyn game without Meta it is going to be tough, as we may have a defensive lapse and scoring push, to make up for Jersey game.

Celtics are old and will be playing a back to back. Boston is coming back from Toronto to play this one. Loved the defense the Lakers played last game. I never seen them hustle that hard all season. LAKERS need Howard bad NOW. Can't give up 20 OR's this game. Glad Rondo is out that should help the LAKERS. If LAKERS can scramble like they did in Brooklyn they can win this game.

Low scoring OLD MEN game.  What was, isn't still for either team.  Hope Howard is back, Gason probably gone.

Well, if there was ever a time for Dwight to "come to the rescue", as only "Superman" can, this is it.  Pau is out for the foreseeable future and the lane is open.  I know D-12 is hurtin', but every Laker player has had to play hurt and under less than ideal circumstances...I don't see how this is any different.

Make the Lakers Nation pround, Dwight!

I think Dwight should rest tomorrow assuming he's still really banged up.  We don't need him against Boston.  The Celtcs were playing Jeff Green at center at times tonight against the Raptors. We can get away with Clark on KG in the middle and wont get killed on the offensive glass (Boston is second worst in the league in that department).  Plus, the Celtcs are coming off a B2B.  We should be able to handle them, especially considering they don't have any dribble penetration sans Rondo and Pierce is really the only psuedo-elite wing in the league MWP can still guard.  Nash will have to look to score though, and Jamison/Meeks will have to make open shots..

If Dwight doesn't play tomorrow you might as well sit him against Miami too, because without him at 100% and without Pau's passing we aren't beating them. At least Miami did us a favor and beat Houston tonight.  One game close to that 8 spot..

Just need Dwight to get healthy..

Pau's going to miss six weeks. Or even more I'm guessing. Not a big deal. Pau was a shell of himself. It must of been his foot all along. He didn't hustle and didn't have any low post moves. Must be because it would hurt his foot. So he was just taking sloppy hook shots going away from the basket. Even when he was right under the basket. At least whoever is in the line up taking his minutes they will hustle. Not fake hustle like Gasol. Also it will be nice seeing someone that can catch a pass. Gasol couldn't catch worth beans. Less turnovers hopefully now.

I'm sure with Gasol previously problems with his feet, playing through it and now having his current foot injury, Howard is not too keen about rushing back when he doesn't think he has healed enough.

As Kobe mentioned, he's had a lot of injuries earlier in his career and can better gage how his body is doing based on his pain and such.  Howard doesn't have the same experience to figure it out and get to a comfort level.  I know some would like him to test it out.  But Gasol tested his injury after feeling a pop in the first quarter of the game last night.  We can commend him in that, but what happens when you fail the test?  I don't think the test is to see if he can feel pain.  He already feels pain.  That's a given.  The test is to see if it the should holds up.  And failing the test cost more than that one game.

Dr. Robert Klapper, the orthopidec surgeon at Cedar Sanai in Los Angeles, talked about Gasol's plantar fasciitis injury that he had in December of last year on his ESPN Radio LA show at the time.  He stresses how having it heal enough before using, not just to a level of every day usage, but to a level to take the stress of playing professional sports.  Here's the pod cast.  the talk about Gasol really starts around the last 10 minutes of the cast:

eles/play?id=8790368]

Dr. Klapper stresses, not just in this segment, but in others, also, where I've heard in talk about injuries, to heal and stop playing when you feel pain, since pain is the bodies defense mechanism against further injury.  and that excericising or continuing to lift weights after feeling pain is really a bad idea no matter how macho you are.  In this podcast he also stressed that it was a good idea that Nash weighted until he was completely healed before coming back.

Klapper has talked about Kobe's ability to endure pain and stresses if there is not a chance of aggravating an injury, then only thing preventing you from performing is the pain.  When Kobe had the finger issues and such, it wa more about preventing it from healing than reinjuring it.

In Howard's case, it's not just about pain and playing through pain.  He played through pain last season and aggravated his back where he had the surgery

Here's what Dr. Robert Khorramian, a Santa Monica foot & ankle specialist has to say on Pau Gasol’s current tear in the plantar fascia of his right foot.

Cs backcourt might give the Lakers problems because they are solid defenders.  The Lakers have to make shots and Metta can't play stupid.  The Cs have been playing very well.  Everyone has to rebound tonight.  Rebound is about effort not about size.

Don't be surprised if Bradley takes Nash completely out of the game.
