Yeah, we may or may not deal. But if we don't deal, I still think we can do it. but we'll need to become a consistent, defensive juggernaut for that to happen, imo. We'll see, man.

I don't know, QID. You don't think Kobe and Howard alone are good enough to squeak into the playoffs? Howard's injury is my only hesitancy, but Clark is solid and if other guys take turns stepping up (Meeks, Nash, umm that's it really), I think they can get us where we need to be for when Pau returns, without a trade. I'd hate to lose Pau, even if only to still have him next season to give this a try with a real coach.

Oh, if Howard was Orlando Howard it would be, but it's not good enough in his current form.  We barely beat the worst team in the league tonight. Trust me, no one appreciates Pau more than I do, but if you can move him for an impact player you have to.  6-8 weeks is too much to overcome...

Guess I'd rather shut down Howard and Gasol for the season than trade Gasol for something that isn't going make us a contender this year anyway. I'm convinced Gasol is not washed up yet, dude just needs some rest and a different coach. Same for Howard.

As bad as that would look, and as horrible as I would feel for Pau, I have to agree. If the right trade is there, I think we have to pull the trigger. Merely because I'm not sure if we can survive up until the point when Pau gets back. Outside of the mismatches that we find ourselves in without Pau, we have a HUGE problem with rebounding. We give up SO MANY effort rebounds a game to where it's ridiculous.

This is a good point.  Not sure we can beat the elite teams with someone like Josh, but you can bet your ass LA will try.  If LA doesn't make the playoffs the Buss' will lose their ass financially..

I think Pau played to much in the off season. Was tried and Injured when the season started. He was just a shell of himself this season.
