Celtics CLEARLY better without Rondo

As far as I'm concerned the Bulls are the only team in the East that has a chance to beat Miami.  Rose coming back could put them over the top if he's not asked to do too much.

That is one team too many you have on that list.

Obviously you don't live near Chicago and therefore don't have a clue.  That's how Thibs coaches.  He's a 48-minute coach regardless of the score.  He wasn't showing off the other team or running up the score.

And he got his one and only perimeter scorer and playmaker on the entire team hurt by coaching that way.  Kind of a dumb way of coaching.

And yet the result was the same - They lost.  Had they actually tried during the regular season they would have had home court against the Lakers, and they probably would have won.  But no...

Utter lack of heart and utter lack of guts.
so losing... shows lack of heart?

Essentially he is.  Did he play at all last year?

Lets see if they can get a playoff win without him.

This period at least gives us a chance to see Green's and Lee's value.  It may humble Rajon enough and he probably wont be able to have unproductive swagger.

*Yawn* 17 rings and got one with Rondo as well.
Live in th past if you must, but 20-23 was 20-23, and they're going to play much better without him.
Wake me up when Rose gets one.
I will, but given you're latest tendencies it's likely you'll be too cowardly to be around.

I'm not necessarily saying it was good coaching, just proving a point that he wasn't blatantly running up the score.

Tanking the regular season to rest up for the Playoffs - Sorry, but that shows lack of heart considering how much money they make.

I know I'm your hero, but I'm not a professional sportswriter.  Sorry to disappoint you.

Got it.  Did not say you thought he was a good coach but a lot of people do.  I think he is a bit overrated as a coach myself.  He gets the team to hustle and defend but he doesn't seem to know how to design much of an offense.  Plus the aforementioned playoff series where he got DRose hurt by leaving him in the game.

Anyway, you heard it from me first.  Thibodeaux will never be the coach of an NBA champion.

I hope the C's continue to play well without him. Hell go get ring number 18 while they're at it. Rondo's not losing that ring anytime soon. Derrick Rose better start finding a team he can play sidekick to though.

If the Celtics had home-court advantage in those 2010 Finals, they would have beaten the Lakers.  But no, they gave up home-court by tanking the regualr season and gifted-wrapped Kobe another rign he didn't deserve.

...And only ONE of those 17 rings came in your lifetime, boy.  Hate to break it to you, but Rondo may have won his last ring, and it came in his 2nd year when he was still just a role player.

Derrick Rose better start finding a team he can play sidekick to though.
Na, he won't need to sidekick anyone.  This Bulls team is playing quite well without him and he could be the guy that puts them over the top.  The problem the Bulls had in 2011 is that they were too reliant on Rose and his FG percentage suffered as a result.  Now that guys like Deng have proven they can carry an offense in his absense, they shouldn't be as reliant on him when he comes back this year.

It's not a matter of if Rose will get his ring.  It's a matter of when.  He's still only 24, and the Heat and Spurs will eventually disamantle when Duncan retires and when Miami will be forced to break up their team due to luxury tax restraints.

Lifetime or not, has anyone had in better than us in Boston? We put together the most dominant run in sports history as a city. Every single team won a title. Rondo's already ahead of Rose where it counts and Rose's inefficient shot-chucking won't change that. Remember it was Rose, not Rondo, who relied on explosive athleticism. Can't wait to see how he struggles coming back from that awesome knee injury. Also, what's the good word Rock?

All you got to hang your hat on nowadays is the Bruins.  The Patriots and Red Sox have become famous for choke jobs the last five years, and the Celtics are over the hill.

The Cubs will win more games in 2013 than the Red Sox.  You can take that to the bank.

Enjoy Ryan Dempster and his egoistic ways.

Curious why didn't Kobe deserve a ring in this instance?

That's only if you're a NY fan who doesn't stick to the Jets/Yankees, Giants/Mets rule that according to lifelong New Yorkers is the tell of who is a real NY sports fan vs cherry picked. But yes, for the rare Yanks/Giants (and are they Islanders or Rangers) fan they match our 8 titles if they happen to root for all three exact. Add in the complete failures of the Knicks, Islanders, Jets, and I'd argue Boston has still been better.
