Joe Flacco > Matt Ryan

Prior to this season, I had them neck and neck. Joe has pulled away and is in Ben/Eli territory now...

No, he isn't in Ben's league. He is certainly in Eli territory.

I think Flacco is now ranked 6th or 5th best in the league....

I didnt think Flacco was better than Ryan, but Flacco rachetted up his game this post season and showed he can sling the rock with the best of them in the league.

Just because you don't want that to be the case doesn't make it any less true. Did you see the escaping he did yesterday, and the clutch throws he made? He has grown up.

Look, I don't like it any more than you do, but to say it isn't true is way too homerish for my liking.

It really depends on what you're looking at.  If it's about those regular season numbers, the Ryan is still above Flacco.  As are Rivers, Romo, and maybe even Schaub.

If it's about winning games, then Flacco's been above Ryan for awhile (currently 9 playoff wins vs 1, it was 5 vs 0 before this post season).  Flacco's not slinging the ball all over the place but he's been clutch the last two seasons.

In terms of Ben, I'd still but him a little above Joe also.  But if I'm not mistaken, in 4 extra seasons, Ben only has one more playoff win than Joe (although he does have an additional superbowl ring so that's big).  That puts them very close to each other, but I'd give the edge to Ben no problem for past history.

Honestly, I would take Flacco anyday over big ben and probably Eli as well. Big ben literally was the entire reason the Steelers did not make the playoffs, single handedly losing the final 2 games from his bonehead interceptions. Joe Flacco was the reason, baring an emotional boost from Ray Lewis, that the Ravens were able to compete the way they did in the playoffs. The Ravens defense is not as dominant as it used to be and Joe Flacco proved me wrong and a lot of other people and now really deserves that pay day everyone is talking about. In my opinion there are maybe 3 or 4 elite quarterbacks in the league, and I'm starting to think Tom Brady isn't on that list. I'm not sure if I would call Joe Flacco elite, but he is as close to it as anyone.

Nope. Ryan is still better then Flacco period. Think of it like this, if Ryan was on the Ravens and had that D and that run game, how many SB's would he have by now? SB or not, Ryan is still clearly better then Flacco. Not debatable at all. Dilfer won a SB but Marino didn't. And I'm pretty sure we all agree that Marino was better.

I know right, Flacco would have to rape like 10-12 women to get in Big Bens league.
