Before the 49ers and Ravens even stepped on the field for Sunday’s Super Bowl, the Denver Broncos already led the list of favorites for next season.
The Broncos opened as 5-1 favorites Sunday to win the 2014 Super Bowl in New Jersey (the final game of the 2013 season) at the MGM Race and Sports book in Las Vegas. The book has the 49ers as co-favorites with Denver at 5-1.
The Patriots and Packers follow at 7-1. And bringing up the rear as the longest long shots: the Chiefs are 150-1 and the Jaguars 200-1.

I'm kind of surprised to see the Broncos as AFC favorites. My money would be on the Texans or Patriots.I'm not. Of the last 4 AFC playoff teams the broncos were a series of mental mistakes from the conference championship and possible SB, Ravens are going to lose a ton of talent in FA. Even if they franchise Flacco they are $20 million over cap. The texans had a late season collapse and got waxed twice by the patriots, until they can prove that was a fluke there will be questions. The patriots should be up there but they have some peices missing on defense, I would think they are around our talent level, maybe less, I am biased though.
