What the heck does Dolph Lungren have to do with James Brown?

I was in the US Navy Boot Camp in Great Lakes with a guy who played saxaphone in James Brown's band. His name was Dick Schennafelt. He smoked poppy seeds. This was back in 1968.......This guy could play.....We went up to Milwaukee for a weekend liberty and the JB Band was there.  My intro to soul/Rockin' Blues.
