LSU pulls out the big gun......

February 4, 2013 2:58 pm

While on his recruiting visit to LSU, Robert Nkemdiche got a surprise visit from Shaq O'Neal.......

They were eating dinner, when Shaq appeared. Nkemdiche's eyes got huge...

Shaq, along with Mingo, Sam Montgomery showed Robert around campus. They stopped off at the Pete Maravich Arena and had a friendly game of hoops..... What a memory for that kid.....

Even if he picks Ole Miss, because mom wants him too, he will never forget his visit to LSU......

Good job Miles!
But I think Mom wears the pants in the family , and she want s him to go to Ole Miss........

Oh yes they do justacollegefan. I know Oklahoma does, that was one of the was OU got Marcus Dupree. They sent Billy Sims down to Mississippi to help in the recruiting of Marcus. His mother got a new Double wide out of the deal. And i'am sure some cash changed hands.

They had a dinner in his honor and Miles chose Wheatgrass as the entree, with Purple Drank to wash it down and for desert Honey badger made some brownies. Fun was had by all until Jefferson began kicking people in the head.

I would have thought they would have pulled 4 drunks out of a bar and had a "Royal Rumble" with Jordan Jefferson and his crew for the nights entertainment

The comments are funny but LSU may get the last laugh if the kid decommits from Ole Miss. I can imagine he was all star struck by Shaq and LSU has a beautiful campus too. Lived in Baton Rouge for years.

I find it hard to believe the kid is going to wait until the morning of signing day to bail on Ole Miss and possiby destroy our recruiting class.   His brother plays there, and his parents want them to play together.   It would be completely and utterly tactless, selfish, and unforgivable to do that to the only university that offered your older brother a scholarship and turned him into a budding star.

I in no way belive Ole Miss is a more "attractive" location than LSU given their lofty position in the world of CFB.   However, family is family.   To bail on Ole Miss and your family this late in the game would be like sleeping with your brother's wife.

What ?  If that is the general feelings of the fans then he better sign up to play at LSU !   He doesn't owe anybody anything for what they did for his brother !

He'd be stupid to let that determine which school he attends.

Did Shaq or Les show him how to get drunk, go to Krystals and get tee sacked?

I'd hope that's the general feeling of Nkemdiche.   Ole Miss has been good to him and his family.   If it's 50/50, I'd hope that would be the difference maker.

Ole Miss obviously needs him more, but LSU is hardly going to die without him.  One player (unless he is a QB) does not really make or break a team.  Case in point USC and Clowney.  Dude is a beast yet they are still outgunned.  Nkemdiche would be just another great player for the Tigers.  I'm not so sure what the upside is at Ole Miss.  Nothing against the Rebs, but if the kid wants to be seen there isn't really much of a choice!?!
