Don't get me wrong, I like Burks, but right now he isn't a good point guard. He may be better than Watson, but he takes too long to get into the offense, and he cannot run much of a fast break. I'd much rather see him at the two. Corbin almost gave that one up too. Jefferson forces four of the last five, then doesn't box out or rotate, giving up four in a row on the other end. I'm afraid we are going to see Millsap shipped off for a point guard. I wish it was Jefferson. I've read that Jazz management was seen at a Minnestoa/Hornets game. If you read anything into that it might mean that Minny is looking for a Kevin Love replacement, and I doubt Jefferson would go back. Minnesota has a bunch of point guards, the Hornets have only two. I bet it's Millsap and the contract for Bell in a one or two team trade. Play around with the trade machine and see what you guys come up with.
Burks hasn't got much experience at PG and it shows. Watson has stunk it up so I'm more than happy to see Burks out there.
I can't imagine the Jazz letting the trade deadline pass without making a move. They could lose both Jefferson and Millsap and get nothing for them. Marvin Williams, Mo Williams, and Randy Foye are all FA at the end of this season. The Jazz have got to do something or they are going to have a bunch of holes to fill next season that will require more than just the draft.
