Fool me once, shame on you.....

Fool me twice, shame on me.  I had a hard time believing Braun last season after his failed test.  However he was cleared due to technicallity.  I was skeptical even though he was cleared, but now his name is being associated once again with PED's.

Statement released by Braun

Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun just released this statement:

“During the course of preparing for my successful appeal last year, my attorneys, who were previously familiar with Tony Bosch, used him as a consultant. More specifically, he answered questions about T/E ratio and possibilities of tampering with samples.

“There was a dispute over compensation for Bosch’s work, which is why my lawyer and I are listed under ‘moneys owed’ and not on any other list.

“I have nothing to hide and have never had any other relationship with Bosch.

“I will fully cooperate with any inquiry into this matter.”

This actually makes sense,  It explains why he owed 10x more money than anyone else and why he wasn't linked to any other substance.  Also explains why his lawyers were mentioned so much.

I agree with Halo.

However, I still believe Braun was taking something for medical reasons and it wasn't filtered through the proper channels, thus, making it illegal per MLB rules. I still think whatever caused the failed test, Braun is still taking to this day....only difference is, it's now approved by team doctors and MLB. Hence the consistent stats year over year. Rumors were out that he's been taking something since his Miami days. Quite possible. Glad he's a Milwaukee Brewer.

So there are names on a piece of paper and now they are linked to possible use of PEDS? These guys are under a microscope per MLB and until a test comes back positive they are not guilty. MLB should clear the names and the sport by publicy stating" we have tested these players and they show no signs of illegal substances. If they come up dirty then we will make that public too."

I am thinking the mlb investigation will settle this. For better ir worse. If they find he owes a large sum they can conclude it was the PEDs. If it's a small sum it will be the t/e ratio consultation. They can verify this with other consultations. This isn't over. Buddy might still save the day

I want like hell to believe Braun.  But as the old saying goes...if it looks like a duck and sounds like a duck

I'm afraid that I can hear the faint noise of "quacking" coming from his camp    Yell

I am in the same boat.  I so want to believe him, but having your name associated with PEDs twice in one year and still saying you are innocent is a little hard to believe.  Where there is smoke, there is fire.

^^^^^^ this is because MLB is extremely pissed off they lost that case against Braun. They have a personal vendetta and they will continue to dig. They will drag his name through the mud as much as possible.
