SEC RULES AGAIN, POOR OSU FANS

February 6, 2013 2:23 pm

The current teams of the SEC have a losing record against Ohio State.
The only record that concerns me is Alabama vs Ohio State and that record is Ala 3 vs OSU 0. Now I wonder how many more current teams you are wrong about...hmmm...

Do you need me to post all the games?
Sure go right ahead lol. It does not change anything. My point still holds true...that when it matters...Bowl games...OSU is 1-9. I could careless if OSU holds a winning record over a lesser Vandy or Kentucky. Because the bowl record shows that when they played an SEC team that was of the same caliber OSU fell short. Does not have anything to do with 2013 season? Absolutely not!

SEC RULES AGAIN, POOR OSU FANS

February 6, 2013 2:25 pm

So, hey kid.  Go ahead and suck on the sweet milky teat of the SEC and try and make us all think how great it must taste.  But know this; that teat will grow old and wither and the milk will turn

Now there is a visual worth repeating and I do agree with the overall point.  Some of these posters are over the line and we all know who they are.  The title of the thread is even over the top; that said, these high school kids still have to improve and we shall see in 2-3 years just who does the ruling.   I guess it is necessary, but it really bothers me all the attention these 17-18 year old kids are receiving.  One can see why they get this "I'm entitled" notion along with a personality that wears people thin.

lolllllllllll some guy post what the CURRENT sec teams record is against osu and realizing that NONE of those wins over miss or texas am was when EITHER TEAM was in the SEC. Massive FAIL. THE SEC WHEN the TEAM is in the SEC and plays osu is 11-3 versus osu.

Guys, leave poor allknowing12 alone. He's lonely and starving for attention. He's a Gamecock fan who has never witnessed his team win anything important ever. The highlight of his life was when the gamecocks beat Ohio State twice. If you guys were impotent losers and gamecock fans, you might resort to cheering for the SEC too. Be nice! Ok?

However, in your defense you did say current. No one can argue that Mizzu and TAMU are not current members of the SEC.

The rest folks is freaking history

A History of the teams comprising the current conference you ride the coat-tails of LOSING to Ohio State.  22-13-3.  (.681). BY AN AVERAGE SCORE OF 22 -15.

And now YOU are the King of Shame thanks to Slive admitting Mizzu and A&M.  You can't even use the entire conference to try to put down one team any more.

poooor triamax, I mean zimmy knows that since 1933 when the SEC was CREATED osu has only 3 wins, what vandy, lsu and uk. lolllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
llllllllllllll. OWNED, owned like a drum. The FACTS are folks that osu didn't play one SEC team when the TEAM was in the SEC from the mid 1930s until bama destoryed them in the sugar bowl in the mid 1970's since then osu has won 2 games and only of those games was forfeited after. Those are the FACTs. THE SEC owns osu, and it fans because they hide behind playing NOT US or WINNING AGAINST US.

Hey allretard,  What is like to wish your team had as much on field success as Ohio State?

Whats it like to wish that your team had the recruiting success that Ohio State has?

Whats it like to fail on this board every time you try?  Whats it like to be hated by everyone including other fans of SEC teams?

Overall,  what is it like to be a complete and TOTAL LOSER AT LIFE?

 when the SEC was CREATED

I wonder what teams played together in what conference prior to that?
Is that true?  The same teams played together in the same conference - They just changed the name?

So are you counting all of Sewanee's legendary accomplishments on the gridiron as well as part of your own team's history as well?

SEC RULES AGAIN, POOR OSU FANS

February 11, 2013 12:33 pm

These kids will wake up one day and realize they are pawns for big pay day coaches of the SEC that use the hell out of them, and for the most part in the SEC, Academically Pathetic. Football at the next level is a remote chance at best for these kids. For most, it is their last horah before they enter teh work force. Some look at a glass half empty, others half full, the SEC just looks at the first or the last sip of the glass. So, congratulations all you recruits who chose a possible moment in fame over a better education. Let me remind you, the ACC is tops with an average rating almost double of that of the SEC.

So, to answer your question, I know what recruiting should be, this is what a degree from our university will do for you, and oh by the way we also have this............

But the SEC, first they are met by gorgeous young females, rabid fan basis, glory eye high profile and paid coaches, top of the line facilities, limos, (a little pocket money for some!), a promise for a paved road to the NFL, and oh by the way, we do have some class room requirements in liberal arts..........

My point still holds true...that when it matters...Bowl games...OSU is 1-9. I could careless if OSU holds a winning record over a lesser Vandy or Kentucky. Because the bowl record shows that when they played an SEC team that was of the same caliber OSU fell short.
Let's go back and look at those bowl games...

1977 (season) Sugar Bowl - 10-1 Alabama (#4) vs. 9-2 Ohio State (#9), Bama was favored and won

1989 Hall of Fame - 9-2 Auburn vs 8-3 OSU, Auburn a big favorite and won

1992 Citrus - 9-2 Georgia vs 8-2-1 OSU, Georgia favored big and won (btw, Georgia's 2 losses were by a combined 5 to Tennessee and Florida)

1994 Citrus - 10-1 Alabama (1 pt loss to FL) vs 9-3 OSU.  Bama was a heavy favorite and won

1996 Citrus - 11-1 OSU vs 10-1 Tennessee - the Vols were a very slight favorite and won

2000 Outback Bowl - 8-3 OSU vs. 8-3 South  Carolina, Bucks were a slight favorite and lost; this was the straw that broke Cooper's back - he lost control of the team and they played terribly in the game.

2001 Outback Bowl - 7-4 OSU (#22 AP) vs. 8-3 South Carolina (#14); Gamecocks were favored and won

2006 title game - OSU vs. Florida - oops (Bucks were favored)

2007 title game - LSU vs. OSU.  Even though OSU was ranked #1, LSU was the favorite (by 5 1/2) and won

2010 Sugar Bowl - OSU vs. Arky; Bucks favored and won

2011 Gator Bowl - 6-6 OSU vs 6-6 Florida; Gators were a 2 point favorite and won

In reality, OSU is 1-10 in bowls against teams who were in the SEC when the game was played.  In 8 of those 11 games, the SEC team was favored (at least 3 times a big favorite) and won each time.  OSU was favored 3 times and won 1 of them.

Zimmy's point from a couple posts above is basically this.  Even though we know the SEC was created, the nucleus of that conference has been together as  a group since 1894, when the SIAA was created.  Most of the members have ALWAYS been together as a conference.
