Worst loss of the Bill Self era and beyond. Embarassing. The good news is that this will drop our seed for the tourney low enough that our 2nd round loss won't look as bad.

It is clear that this KU team lacks mental toughness and player leadership. All that crap about 4 starting seniors providing leadership is garbage. I lay zero blame on Bill Self for this, it lies all on the players. No pride at all

Twocoach, you still wanna laugh at the reality that this team is rebuilding.  KU is not a top ten team.  Decent recruiting class coming in but this team is still 2-3 yeasr from making a legit run at it.
  
They've started off strong in conference play against the bottom end of the league. But scheduling made that happen.  KU will be lucky to finish the rest of the conference season 4-4.   

Well I'm officially worried. The Big 12 conference streak is in serious jeopordy.

Call it what you want, but I'm done with this team, this year.

Can't root for a team that has no heart.

this team has a lot issues and im not sure if they get correct this season. I would not be suprised if there is a new Big 12 champion

whoa, whoa fellas...one or two games don't make a season.  The shiny stuff isn't as sparkling right now but those 18 or 19 wins in a row weren't imagined...they did happen and two of them happend at #6 Oh St and at #10 Kstate.

Some soul searching needs to happen and some personnel changes need to happen but the season isn't lost yet.

I don't believe its fair or accurate to make assertions about how this season will end based on 80 mins of basketball, no matter how poorly we played tonite or this past Saturday.

I don't think it is a matter of heart. Maybe they're just not a good offensive team. They are poor passers, poor shooters (except BMac ), and below average ball handlers. I still think they have an elite defense. The problem is their offensive woes are starting to affect their defense. I hope they can somehow pull it together and at least tie for the league title.

I love this team, and the loss tonight won't change anything. I watched that pitiful game to the bitter end, and I honestly doubt that Self can punish those kids and make them feel worse than they do now.

Gilded - this season is not lost at all.  I think the reality is this team has been winning at a level that is above where they should be.  Call it luck of the draw, or teams like KSU laying down to their annual beating at home.  But this team has been overachieving.

But the idea that KU is a contender this year is a joke.  This team has absolutely no identity.

Listen, I don't think the season is a loss right now, but I agree that they haven't played well in any conference game. This team played great in the non-conference with the exception of that Temple game. This team can play well. What has happened? My basketball knowledge doesn't reach that point to have the answer but I do know the offense is awful. The ball movement sucks and they are way to easy to guard. The biggest problem I see is a lack of effort in the department of loose balls and rebounding. I don't have crystal ball to say how the season will play out but let's just say I'm hoping for the best and expecting the worst.
