Good lord, those were lame answers. I say Trout or Verlander.

I think I take Braun over Trout.  Tough call, but a reasonable one.

As many have said depends on the scoring but 5X5 head to head or rotisserie the answer is Mike Trout, foolish to take a pitcher first.

Pujols should be the 1st 1B taken.

Yes, Pujols is the 1st 1B taken, but he's no longer a top 5 pick in my opinion.  I've also seen quite a few rankings that have Votto ahead of Pujols, though you could make the argument for either.

I have to disagree. With Hamilton in the lineup I expect him to hit 3rd ith Albert hiting cleanup.of course it coud be the other wat around.Either way one will help the other especially with a table setter like Trout & Trumbo probably hitting 5th.Pujols has a lot of pride & hit well 3/4th of last season.I expect Albert to have a huge season. If he's not the first 1b to be picked I'd be shocked. If Albert is still available when your turn comes up, I'd grab him.If not I'd take Miggy over Trout.I may even take Stanton over Trout because I don't expect Stanton to be a Marlin for long.It Giancarlo winds up in Texas,Boston,or NY he could hit 50+ Homers.I don't expect Trout to have a sophmore jinx, but it's not out of the question...Stanton has 3 productive years under his belt,is less of a gamble & has a huge upside.I know I'm probably contradicting myself-There are plenty of first basemen available, but there's only 1 Stanton. If you pass on Stanton & he winds up in a hitter friendly ballpark, you could regret it all season. If Stanton is already gone, thejn I;d take Albert.Depending on how they play & where Stanton winds up you could always try & make a deal.If you have Albert & he starts out gangbusters, you could probably trade albert for Stanton & even get a little extra. At some point in time the Angels will want to move Albert before they have to pay the guy 30M$ a year for a guy in his late 30's.IMO only the Dodger$ would make that move.
Shoot for Stanton, but settle for Albert.I expect him to do well, so owners will be willing to overpay for him.Maybe get a decent 1b for him like Chris Davis or Maybe even Posey or Trumbo. PLUS an SP, a good closer or whatever you need.Either way you'd be in the drivers seat & the worst that can happen is you keep Albert who I expect to hit close to 45 Homers.Others will still want him so make 'em over pay for him.

miggy is the best hitter in the game, IF vmart fully returns, hits in the debacle, i mean Tigers troubled 2nd spot, he is covered for and aft. trout had a great rookie season, still can't fully trust him as i have seen to many soph slumps and any slip at all would make a pretty bad loooking #1 over a proven triple crown (who could do it again)
