Trojanfan goes 10-2 this week and shows why he's led this thing so many weeks this year. He's even got a little cushion this time. The rest of us can only hope the demons that bite the top dog in the AP poll will visit here. If Duke were in this they'd be here. Nate and bonadrag surprise everyone with a correct pick of Colorado over the Ducks in Oregon. Trojanfan, bonadrag, and AZWildcat all pick Stanford over Arizona State in Tempe, We all incorrectly think Arizona can handle Cal at McKale. Then trojanfan and JarrettFan pick USC to beat Washington. Great week for picking upsets. Congratulations to trojanfan for the weekly bragging rights and overall.

5. Arizona - Colorado probably got robbed last time out, and I'm sure they have this game circled. But the 'Cats haven't lost back-to-back this season, and I don't think they will here either. Colorado was only in the game last time out because of some VERY poor play by the 'Cats.

I'm not playing this year @AZFaninMO, but the rules are you get the picks in before tipoff. If you don't give any picks, you score a zero for the week. I was the zero-meister the last few seasons I played. : ) Nater was a hardass.

Zero is tough, however he shouldn't match Zonafan at 5-7, Zonafan made his picks.  The best a missed prediction should do is one less than the low man on the totem pole for that week.  So in this case it would be 4-8, still much better than 0-12.

Thanks bonadrag, yes #10 should read Oregon STATE. Looking at the picks so far it doesn't look like anyone's been confused but I'll put the games back up corrected.

I feel like I could just pick all the home teams and do better than I have been... but then I don't.
OR is an unknown due to injury so I'm going with WA, but gingerly staying away from WAZZU.
WSU does get some home lover from me against OSU.
Why I'm not going with UT at home I don't know, but ASU might just be desperate enough to take it.
AZ just seems the better team in both games... as if that has been enough with all these upsets.
CO could get the sweep, but I think AZ will be needing and feeling it. ASU won't quite make it ...
I'm just not taking USC on the road. Of course, they are talented enough, but will they show up now?
UCLA should get the sweep, but I gots to has some upsets to have a chance.
Besides, CAL has just discovered D on  the road!??! Surely they can do it again at home...

1. Arizona State at Utah... I went back and forth on this one. ASU is the better team. Utah has a pattern going that would indicate they win. The game's in Utah. This one is going to be close but I give the edge to ASU. The rule in the Pac has always been to put your money on the home team if it's gonna be close. I'm breaking that rule.

2. Oregon State at Washington State

3. Oregon at Washington... Oregon's the slightly better team but not in Washington. Not this week.

Thur 2/14

4. UCLA at California... Beat Arizona, lose to ASU, lose to USC, beat the Washington schools, who are these guys? California is gonna win this one at home (but it won't be easy).

5. Arizona at Colorado... Good money would have to be on Colorado here. They are incredibly tough at home. Arizona is unpredictable. Colorado is still POed about the loss in OT in Tucson. There's no money here so I'm going with the homer pick.

6. USC at Stanford

7. UCLA at Stanford... UCLA is too good to lose two in a row but I'm guessing they will anyway.

8. Oregon at Washington State... Oregon could easily lose this one. They're the better team normally but they're not playing on all cylinders right now. Pulman's a tough trip. Oregon isn't gonna roll over and play dead. If I hadn't picked Washington I might go with WSU but Oregon doesn't drop two in a row here.

That's entirely up to you.
I've seen getting  points (which I did one year) and getting the lowest score (which I did another year).
Giving 0 keeps the lowest person from being at a disadvantage for even having picked, but also all but eliminates someone's chances this late in the season.

Perhaps take the lowest score minus 2? So the person who actually picked (but did so poorly) still gets the benefit of having picked.

This will be the first time I have picked against Arizona this season. I just feel like the environment combined with the chip on Colorado's shoulder will be too much for them. Plus, coming off the game Sunday, I don't know where their heads will be. I won't be watching this game as I am saddled with DirecTV (no Pac-12 network!!).
