Would like to field suggestions for a prize for our League Champion.

Let's also consider everyone's privacy as we come to an agreement collectively.

Since I started the league, I will personally pay for either a custom t-Shirt or throphy for the winner, if no other agreement can be made.

My family will probably starve for the week since some here claim I'm jobless.

My real question is if we decide to pitch in cash, how to do it and how best to do it privately ?

Everyone has their own privacy limitations and I would like to honor them all fairly.

This I will need all your help with.

I would personally be uncomfortable kicking in money with people I don't know especially after witnessing that fiasco with you know who I think it was two years ago. For me, I tend to think that bragging rights is bigger than any monetary reward with this group anyway. However, I'll go along with whatever is decided.

Everyone could all transfer $20 into a paypal account for the winner.

Cubs2008.

I was a member of the CBS community back then, however, was not very active on the Cubs' board at that time. I don't know the details. Let's hope we can put the situation behind us and have some fun.
I've been a member since 2000.

My opinion is and the rules are; a trade can be vetoed for any reason by anyone. Whether I agree with whatever happenes or happened in the past. Everyone has their opinions on whether a trade is fair and balanced. I will respect that.

It is an option and part of the game that has to be lived with and tolerated. I know that up front, so no one will get any flack from me on the issue.

I'll go along with whatever is decided.
I want you to do what you are comfortable with also.

I appreciate your flexibility.

This isn't a bad idea willrust.

I'm not that familiar with paypal, I have bought items off of ebay before using it.

So would the winner simply have to give their account number for us to pay them and the winner's privacy fully protected ?

If that happens to be the case, I'm all for it. We would just all have to agree on a number then.

I like will's idea including the amount.

What does everyone else think ?

I believe that you could set up a paypal account using made up information:

Name: Wrigley Field
Address: 1060 W Addison St, Chicago, IL 60613
Telephone: (773) 404-2827

However, you would need to use a valid email address.  Although you could easily make one of those up as well, [cubsboardmembers@gmail.com]?

Everyone could transfer $20 to the paypal account, with the commissioner as the only person with access.  Once the winner is determined, you could either email the paypal account info to the winner, or transfer the money to their paypal account.

When I saw the title of the thread, I thought it was going to be "hate mail" directed at the Cubs Board of Directors, hoping they would read it. Guess I was wrong.

Looks like willrust knows his stuff about paypal. Personally, I haven't dealt with paypal at all, so I would have to rely on Will's knowledge. But it sounds like a good idea.

Salami, you could set up the account under the name Marv Albert, crossdresser/sex offender Ltd. Tongue out

Its not I dont trust yall. I just dont trust anyone. This is my idea. How about this year it is for bragging rights. Also, someone with some computer savy could make  a Cubs board champion avatar to sport around for a year. Then if this is a good group and it continues next year then I would be more comfortable trusting money switching hands. Just my two cents.

How about the winner must be addressed by all invovled as the "Cub Board Master", and the person with the worst record has their avatar changed until the end of the year?

Fair enough Silence.

If some are against and/or hesitant with money switching hands then we play for bragging rights only.

So our league is for bragging rights ONLY and my offer is on the table for the winner ( I will send a custom t-shirt or throphy) if they are comfortable with me sending it to them.

I'm all for an avatar and addressing the winner as "master", or any other unique things we can think of.

LOL. Thanks alot chicago.

Marv's a "real man". Any guy that gets put behind bars for takin' a nip at someone's hindquarters has to be special.

The man has rebounded and is calling the NBA games as if nothing ever happened. He has ice water in his veins.

That will work for me. The winner could also pick the avatar for the person with the worst record, and they have to wear it for a year.

T-shirt or trophy works for me. I actually think it would be neat if this league could hold up for more than 1 season and have a running, passed around trophy.

The one with the worst record this season could then purchase the traveling trophy and send it to the winner ?

The winner has to take a snapshot of the trophy and it becomes their avatar for the year.

I am also willing to purchase the initial trophy also.

It's up to you all. I'm here to help move this along with whatever is decided upon.

It seems critical that we must get through this season first, from what I'm gathering.

I don't want to accelerate things if some are not comfortable.
