From the fans at the O'Connell center respectfully waiting while the trainers attended to Noel, and aplauding him when he got up, to the fans on the game tracker and the game thread all wishing him well.
Donovan even giving him a mention in the post game interview at courtside.
Definitely agree. Its great to see a school that I consider a huge conference rival show so much class. Good luck to UF this year in bringing home another title to the SEC.
Haven't heard anything official, but is there any word or rumor on the severity of the injury. Hopefully its nothing too devestating, or that will hurt his draft stock too much
Luckily, a torn ACL today isn't as damaging to a career in athletics as it used to be, even for players that rely on explosive movement as evidenced by players like Adrian Peterson and Jamaal Charles in the NFL this year. While an ACL injury would end his season, it could be worse.
I will tell you, the Gator fans are definitely a class act. Maybe more classier than any other school in college athletics. They are loud but they don't taunt hardly anybody against even their hated opponent. The game against Kentucky was physical throughout, and it showed. It is too bad a guy like Noel got hurt and lost for the season, and for his sake I hope he recovers well and have terrific basketball career. Even though I despise Kentucky, they are still a tough team to beat, and the Gators had to play a high level to beat them, and they did.
