Most Improved Teams of 2013???

February 14, 2013 9:16 pm

That's a pretty good list. Everybody on your list should improve in 2013. The only team that got no votes is A-State. They may be better but probably not a lot better. Anyway, it's hard to say who is going to be better. After all nobody picked ND to go to the NCG or be 12-1 at this time last year, obviously the most improved team.

I voted Auburn.  I think a lot of their problems were simply that their coaching was indeed THAT bad.
No way it was a low talent level. Auburn has no shortage of talent. As a matter of fact no Southern AQ team has a shortage of talent so that's not the problem.

FYI.

Nick Florence has no more eligibility left at Baylor and has supposedly shunned the NFL draft for a different career.

Last yr a few teams stuck out in the final FEI rankings. #12 FSU, #15 ND, and #16 A&M. 2 of the three finished top 5 the following yr. this yr OSU a #14 and Wisconin at #15 seem to be out of place based on their records.

I would add TCU to that list. Very young team last yr and they had to throw a QB into the mix with no real preparation. They get back a top QB in Pachal, so I would expect a substantial improvement from 6-6.

This is quite the terrible poll...you should take Pitt out and add an "Other".  Then it would be good.

How are you figuring out improvement? Like...record? Orrrr?

If it's just record, has to be Auburn or Arkansas right?

WVU is also a great candidate, but I'm biased.

Baylor won't do much better, IMO.

Pitt is pitt.

ASwho?

Flemson is just inferior in general.

USC is clearly getting the kiffen treatment for a while.

I would say the fighting _ _ _ _ gobblers, but that goes against my religion.

Wisconsin...hmm...nah

I dunno if Clemson can top their 11-2 mark. For starters, they have OOC games against UGA and South Carolina. And they will still have to deal with Florida State. Clemson's team could be better and yet not have the record to show for it.

Very true. But I think Clemson will win 2 out of 3 of those games. We shall see. The Clemson D should be improved and that's really all they need to do to be a National power. They obviously have the O and proved it against LSU. Clemson can play with the big boys and beat them.

Everybody talks about the SEC being the greatest conference and wanting to criticize people's OOC scheduling ....

gotta tip your hat to Clemson. Two SEC opponents a year, Is this going to be what...fourth or fifth year in a row? Nice job Tigers.

Its gonna be tOSU.   Our Offense is severely better and we have now 6 4.4 guys who will see alot of time on special teams.

For once, we will be one of the fastest teams in the country.  Could never say that before.

ASU will be an improved team in 2013. Problem is their schedule got tougher as well. Play Sacremento State, Wisconsin and ND OOC instead of NAU, Illinois and Mizzou. Trade Oregon for Stanford IC.

Probably will be better but record may not change much. Perception could improve with a 2-1 OOC record though considering the upgrade in competition.

I sure hope Clemson wins both of those games. It sure would go a long way to earning some respect for the good ole ACC.

Every time Free puts out a poll it is riddled with goodness, yet always with 1 major exception.

Free hates Texas.

They return 21 of 22 starters.  Many think they will win the Big 12.  Most polls have them playing in a BCS game, and possibly even.... who knows.
