CSN Bay Area expects the Raiders to part ways with DE Dave Tollefson.
A pass-rushing specialist, Tollefson was invisible in the first season of a two-year contract in 2012, notching just 0.5 sacks. He's also on the wrong side of 30. The cap-strapped Raiders will save $1.6 million if they void the final year of Tollefson's contract. Source: [CSN Bay Area ]Feb 13 - 6:39 PM [Mike Brisiel] - G - [Raiders]CSN Bay Area expects Raiders RG Mike Brisiel to be released.
Recovering from "major" ankle surgery, zone-blocker Brisiel is no longer a schematic fit with the Raiders returning to a power scheme. Releasing Brisiel would free up $2.8 million in cap space, while the Raiders have a pair of potential young (and cheap) replacements in Tony Bergstrom and Lucas Nix. Brisiel is as good as gone.If Nix and Bergstrom come through next year, we will have a pretty good and young O-Line for years to come. I've heard nothing but good things about Crawford lately and nothing about Burnett. I'm going with no news is good news on that one.
Don't understand how Crawford seemed to be on IR most of the season, despite not seeing a lot of PT.
With him being born over here,Hope he makes the most of his chances in camp.
