Larry Fitzgerald in another uniform?

I don't expect this to happen, infact I think somehow Fitzgerald never leaves Arizona, but who knows. If he were to get traded within the next year, or in a couple years tests free agency, where do you think would be the most ideal spot for him to finish his career supposing he goes to a contender? I'm gonna leave out San Francisco, Seattle and St. Louis because I'm pretty sure Arizona would do anything to keep him out of the NFC West if he were to leave. I'm gonna leave out Baltimore also because after they sign Flacco won't have any room. I'm not sure how these other teams are with their cap space, but if there is another team you think, let us know. So who's it gonna be?

He is not leaving Arizona. That's a shame too because I absoultely HATE it when a good player wastes his career away with a crappy team. And last year was only the beginning.....poor Larry. But just for discussions sake, I honestly can't see him going to any of these teams except the Bengals since they need a legit reciever to pair up with Green. Other then that, I just can't see it.

New Orleans and Pittsburgh(where he played college ball) are 2 other teams that I could see him dominate as a #1 with for a couple years. Carolina and Miami are 2 up and coming teams that he could help out. Also, him being across Brandon Marshall on the Bears would be pretty rediculous. I gotta say though, I think it would be cool to see him play in Indy with Andrew Luck, or go out in Minnesota, his home state.

yeah I agree with you. I think he stays in Arizona, but this thread is pretty much all hypothetical. Who knows though. I never expected Jerry Rice to play for my Seahawks.

I think he would be one of the few players the pats would open the bank for but i doubt it ever happens.

And i hate the notion that good players "waste their careers" playin fr a bad team. That "bad" team was the one who drafted them and paid them the money.

Just because you want player x to play on team y and "win a million champioships man" doesn't mean it is a waste of a career if he doesn't play on a great team.

As much as I would love to watch him make his home at Heinz Field again there is no way they could take that salary on.

ok, firstly, i dont see him leaving via free agency as Arizona wont be stupid enough to allow him to walk......Second, he's under contract for a LONG time....now as for trades, slightly possible, but in my book, wont happen.....i think there's a 0.1% chance of a Fitzgerald trade in the near future...now if i'm wrong, then my best guess would be a team that can help him win a ring that's not in the NFC West and likely not the NFC....so New England makes sense as does Denver and other teams who have QBs in place, including Baltimore, now with that said, i still give it a VERY slim chance of happening.

No way he goes to Cincy, they won't pay him the money, especially when they like their young receivers in Sanu and Jones. If anything Cincy gets a cheap FA.

Love to see him team up with Boldin in a Ravens uniform, won't happen but nice thought.

If he actually had a QB to throw him the ball, I think the debate on who the best WR(Megatron) in the NFL is wouldn't be so cut and dry. 

Since this is hypothetical and there is pretty much no way this could ever possibly happen I would like to see him go to the Giants.  Imagine that receiving corps of Nicks and Fitzgerald on the outside and Cruz in the slot with Manning throwing them the ball.  That would be an offense that would be next to impossible to defend against.

He turns 30 this summer. How many peak years does he have left? He has maybe 6 productive years left, but maybe just a couple more as the #1 guy. WR peak years are 24-26. Many can stay very good through 30, when they start to decline. For some, staying around 80% of their peak production when they are in their 30's is still better than most receivers. IF Fitz had a QB, he'd still be the best in the game at his position. I still believe he is....hopefully he doesn't go no where and Cards get a new QB.I'm hoping Geno Smith.
