I thought a lot about how to play this one and settled on this route because I was at the game last night and was amazed at what I saw.  Now that they are finally healthy we’re seeing a starting five that creates matchup problems across the board against most teams.  It all starts with PG play and the Clips have two HOF’s running the show.  At any point CP3 or Billups can play on or off the ball, post up opposing guards or spot up for outside shots.  When teams start to pay too much attention to them it opens up lanes for Blake and Jordan and everyone forgets about Butler who went off for 17pts in the 1Q last night.  Just when you think you have it figured out, Billups heads to the bench and someone has to chase Crawford around screens for the rest of the quarter. 

On the other side you have a Lakers team that likes to run early and play methodically through Kobe late.   Statistically they score and allow about 3pts more in the 1H than they do in the second.  Considering this one is turning into a sorta battle for LA, I expect both teams to come out firing and look to put on a show early.  That should allow the Clips, who always start with great energy and have hit 61 and 52 (without Crawford) in the 1H against the Lakers so far this season to name their score in the 1H.  It’s the last game before the break, full roster, and a chip on their shoulder vs. the Lakers anyway leads me to believe that they open it up again in the first half.  I like the full game TT as well, but just in case they get up big and coast again or it’s tight and the game slows down I think the 1H is a much safer way to go.

Im gonna make my first lock of the year on Eastern Kentucky -12.5.


Eastern kentucky is 12-1 at home with its one loss coming at the hands of Belmont. Tenn Tech is 3-10 on the road and 1-4 on the road in conference.  Conference road losses have been by 4 (to 4-8 SIUE), by 12, by 22 and by 19.  The top teams in the conference have just pasted them on the road.  EKY should roll to an easy win and pu TENN Tech away early.

I rarely lock any thing in sports cause its uaually a crap shoot but today i have one

This is painful as i am a Laker die hard since 1980 but this team is in trouble right now
Kobe thinks he doesnt need to shoot for them to win and when he does start to shoot he
is out of rythm, Steve Nash looks old and he will be dominated by Paul tonight
Dont think for a minute the clips are not enjoying whats going on and want to add to it

The clips haave an advantage in every positon except the 2 spot where Kobe will be playing
The Clips are healthy and are firing on all cylinders right now and a los to the Lakers going into
the break will not suffice, lob city in full effect tonite, the Lakers will need Kobe to score 30 plus
to have a chance, even so the rest of the Lakers look old and disinterested,

I am not going to knock your pick of the HEAT tonight,  but keep in mind what LEBRON and CREW have done of late has been against all the bottom feeders of the league in terms of Defense!! Don't get overly excited with all the stats and reports you read until you dig a little deeper.

They Played;  PORTLAND-----27th in def. FG%    LAKERS---23rd PPG ALLOWED    CLIPPS----Without Chris Paul(and we all saw what happens w/o CP. )    HOUSTON---29th in PPG allowed    CHARLOETTE---27th in PPG allowed   TORONTO---22nd in FG% allowed.

It very well may be that the HEAT cover this number tonight, but don't look for any record setting performances from LBJ and CREW tonight against a pissed and much better defending team then any of the others listed above!!

I'm Rolling with OKC -3(-115) HALF and OKC -5 game!!!  I look for a little revenge at home before All Star break, and blow that BUBBLE thats about to burst that's sitting on top of LBJ head!!!

Been laying low since that LOCK loss on Kansas Under this past Sat afternoon, losing the LOCK by just a few pts bc of how that last 2 minutes played out, foul, FT's made, made 3 pt, foul, Ft's made, 3 pointer....blah. My bad, I never saw either team being down by that much and needing to start fouling so soon, I thought it would be a close KU win but come down to the wire on some last second shots. OU shot well and Kansas didn't bring defensive intensity which was the demise of that play.

Two plays for tonight, one will prob be a LOCK but trying to decide which of these two...

Gonzaga -1 (-110) Game

St. Mary's is good and at home tonight but they will be overwhelmed by the size and talent and depth of the Zags. St. mary's won the series btwn the two last season and went on to win the conference as well. St. mary's is 0-6 lifetime versus Gonzaga when the Zags are in the top 10. Zags last 2 games were at home, a blowout over Pepperdine on Thurs 2-7 and then an auot-pilot ez victory over Loy-Mary at home on Sat 2-9. I know Coach Few has had BOTH of this seasons games with St. Mary's circled and after the Zags won the first game this season at home THIS game tonight will decide the conference and teh Zags will come away as the better team this year, in this game. The Zags will crush the Gaels in the paint yet again and they have plenty of 3 pt options from the perimeter when the Zags bigs are doubled down.

Arizona @ Colorado Under 136 (-110)

This is a big game for both programs among the Pac-12 standings and I see both teams continueing their MO of playing good, solid defense. I see the game ending btwn 125-132 pts.

Level.  you should have said you have been laying low since you went 1-6 or was it 1-7 on saturday.  Your lock was one of the many that day.  Anyways thanks for getting to the library today.  Time to get that money!

Anybody got any feelings on the total in Gonzaga/stmary's (143)..............leaning over but was just wondering how others felt........

All these games have reverse line movement with money comming in on opposing teams at better than 60% of public action.  It;s something to watch for as these reverse line movements vs public's betting action% have been very profitable over the last 3 nights.  Just an observation, do what you will with it!!!  GL ALL!!! 

Afternoon degens. Should have locked the Duke/UNC under last night, but it is what it is. Was looking hard at G.Tech. tonight but it's not worth a lock. Still looking at a few games, be back in as bit with some thoughts. Nice job last night on the thread.
