I am merely pointing out that America is still a segregated society.

I disagree.

This.  Couldn't agree more.  If the GOP lost their current social agenda, it might be a whole other story

I feel smarter already.

Or if they were REAL fiscal conservatives.   Honestly dont care about their "current social agenda"  Its about 416th on my list.

I just can't get on board with a party that suggests some of the crazy ish they do, socially speaking.  I think it hurts their fiscal conservatism too.

How many people have we seen win GOP districts (or perhaps more importantly, primaries) in recent years who have NO concept of fiscal policy, liberal or conservative, based on them being staunch social conservatives?  I'm talking people who don't even know what the debt ceiling means, or what happens when we hit it.

Or if it's not social policy that get's them in, it's a one-issue campaign, like the anti-Obamacare GOPers.  Ok, you don't like it, that's cool, what do you want in it's place?  Nothing.  Got it, ok, I don't really agree, but that's fine.  So what do you know about the rest of the stuff you're supposed to do?  Nothing?  Hmmmm...

The democrats aren't immune to this either - hence why they have plenty of clueless folks in office as well.  THey just seem to be a less crazy-brand of clueless, more often than their counterparts.

One example comes to mind immediately, there was a local GOPer around here, who was asked about voter ID laws - and mind you, this lady was an attorney, and making that a central piece of her campaign.  She flat out said "voting is not a right, it's a privilege."

Well in Missouri they elected a dead guy.  Crazy democrat bastards.  How can you expect to give your party any credibility when you wheel a casket into the House?

What the heck are you even talking about?

"And it's this: that if Congress fails to raise the debt ceiling by 2.5 trillion dollars that somehow the United States will go into default and we will lose the full faith and credit of the United States. That is simply not true," Bachmann said. The Minnesota Congresswoman opposes raising the debt ceiling.

One of many such comments saying that, essentially, hitting the debt ceiling would be good for the US, good for the US economy, would not hamper our ability to service our debt, etc.

Nope.  They are just as crazy.

Inaccurate.

So you two have renounced BarryGoldwater and John MCCain?

Dad said his friends told him "if you vote for Goldwater(1964) , the war in Vietnam will expand."

Sure as chit, he voted for Goldwater and the war in Vietnam escalated like mad!

Until the day he died, he knew it was his fault.

I read the OP and just laughed. I'm a republican and know plenty of democrats to argue with and debate issues and not one of them ever suggested anything likre that "letter". Democrats are just as intelligent and respected litigators and I find that letter insulting to them if you want to stereotype. There cannot be a real person that wrote that.
