Who should we draft?

Not who the Raiders will draft but if you were GM, who would you pick (lets assume they are available).  

Raiders one of NFL's worst in getting to QB. Al was ashamed.

On that list, I would take D.Moore in a heartbeat. However, I'm also a fan of J.Jones and B.Werner so I would add them to the list as well.

I'm still hoping for us to trade down to the 7-9 range while pickiing up and extra 2nd & 3rd round pick in the process. That would give us the extra picks we so desperately need and we'd still be able to get a quality pass rusher or a run stuffing DT at 7, 8 or 9.

Indications are Reggie is willing to trade down to get more picks. We have too many needs to invest in one player when at the same value, we can pick up a second rounder and still get an impact player like Manti Te'o.

If we could possibly trade down and somehow pick up a second rounder, I think that is the best scenario. We need holes filled and guys that can come in and play right away. If we could trade down and pick anywhere from say 9-16, and get a decent second rounder I think that's huge. Obviously this is extreme speculation, and if we can't find a taker for the 3rd overall, I think we can't lose with either Moore or one of the DT's.

none of the above...i agree with everyone on trading down, i dont watch any college tape but call me crazy but i really like measurables of Barkevious Mingo long and lean and could definetly add some bulk and not hurt his quickness and be a threat on the edge not thrilled about j.jones or werner and moore they look like linebackers in a 3 4 to me even though i think reggie eventually wants to go that route but we need at least another year just to start stockpiling players for a 3 4 but im against the  3 4 being the base

The Raiders really dont have much choice but to trade down early and often. If they are strapped for cash or cap room which they are and they are short on depth and talent which they are the only sensible thing to do is to trade down and hope they can create some in house competition through the draft picks and whatever flier type pick up they get on the free agent front.

Trading down once shouldn't be a problem. Either the best tackle or one of the best pass rushers will still be there at 3, or the best DT will be on the board when they draft. This draft seems to have a lot of offensive line particularly tackle help that could start flying off the board with teams like the Eagels, Cardinals and probably even Dolphins all needing an offensive tackle. IDK if it would be that big of a stretch to guess that Stl may be added to that list to move up some to ensure they get an offensive tackle.

If they can move down a few times to get into the 15 - 20 range they should still be able to get a starter ready rookie and quite possibly another one or two with the compensation they would get in return through the draft picks.

They really cant get locked onto any one player. I always think the best practice on draft day is to stick to your board but its especially important for a team like the Raiders that clearly needs an influx of talent and youth. The boards should have players 1 - 255 with position being irrelivant and some common sense being applied.

we need a pass rusher bad!!!!!! a good pass rush can make the most average secondary look good. Yess are secondary is wack, but it looks real s#itty when there is no pass rush!!!!! Jarvis or moore is my pick

I don't like Mingo either, saw him play this year plenty and was invisible other than his two sacks in the bowl game. Dion Jordan over Mingo if thats the type if guy we want. We're gonna trade down with one if these teams that want Joeckle, Eric Fisher or Geni Smith and if the guy we want isn't there I bet he does it again. Prime target is AZ, Buff for the top LTs. DMoore and Jarvis Jones might make it to 7-10 if ws can snag one if them plus a pick or two I'm sold.

I don't think there is any doubt that if Reggie can find a trading partner he will trade down in this draft. It's the sensible thing to do. Paying Rookies is a lot cheaper than bringing in FA's and Oakland has needs all up and down the board.

Reggie is God, and he will part the red sea of spaghetti sauce, and make crap veteran players i year deal players into probowlers. We do not need more draft picks we need to get better quality players. I would rather have a high impact, high first rounder than a lower level first round player with a later round crap shoot pick thrown in. Dont you guys want to see a solid top 5 Raiders draft pick for the first time ever? Reggie will make you all bown down.

now im curious where did Dion Jordan play??yea i really dont watch much college save when im actually watchn a state game....no matter what we need a new pass rusher no matter how much i love shaugs, i just dont see it happening with him, he seems like another one of our Jay Richardson, Tyler Brayton types, strong against the run, not much against the pass

Nice Post but you did not put the person I would draft on the list - Dee Milliner. We may be able to trade down with Buffalo and still get him at 8. 

I state this as he is not really a top 5 type player, but is real physical in both the passing game and running game. We face bigger WR's in our league and need a guy his size with his pedigree and toughness.

Our DE's will get healthly this off-season and we can pick up a good stop gap guy like Freeny, Avril or Bennett in FA. Also, the depth of this draft is on the DL, so I beleive we need to wait until round 2 (trade back) or round three to address this position.

I's love to have Star, but believe Milliner is essential in this draft. 

I'd rather fill the LB or DL spots first. Your CBs are as good as your pass rush unless u have a lockdown guy. There's depth at CB this year. Eventhough David Amerson had a down year, he has the height, length and more importantly ball skills we need. With us playing more zone and wanting turnovers that's who I grab but he could fall into the 4th or worse! Tyrann Mathieu as well, Jordan Poyer, Xavier Rhodes are all just as good to me. I've believe we can trade down because I think teams are gonna be knocking down our door to get Joeckle or if he's gone Eric Fisher.

I agree with Devil.  Trading down more than once would be the best option for Oakland.  As long as we can find a partner for that #3 overall, we might get lucky enough to end up with a couple of second and thrid round picks this year and/or next. We could draft Te'o and his girlfriend, pick up a guy like Barnett, and have a decent LB corps wtih Burris and Wheeler still here (I think he'll re-sign).
