Texas Rangers?. I get that. What we call the elite force of our state police from well before Chuck Norris. Mavericks, sort of the same thing. Cowboys, self explanatory.Stars... We really don't deserve a hockry team, so that doesn't matter... I don't know. Let DC keep the Redskins, regardless of political correctness. There was NO chance of getting to the SB or even past that game with a gimpy QB and instead of coming out and saying RG3 health is more important than a playoff game and we're starting Cousins and he risked everything, right there in the beginning of the game he might have need a simple less invasive procedure in the off season but instead of what he had to get done, a knee is complex and small area he's got to ACL reconstructions in around 3 years he might not last after another one with all the scar tissue and taking tissue from the other knee also. Shanahans gambled and lost...

If he's not used as a pocket passer from here on out and get rid of a almost 100% ZRO offense he won't last very long and you'll have to start all over and maybe become revalent in another 20 years... Remember they had 44 ZRO plays in that Giants game out of 52 total plays in the whole game the other 8 plays were under center for short yardage 3rd and short and end of game kneel downs and that fact I brought was totally ignored also and what happened next he got nailed by Gnata and I watched that hit over and over and RG lower leg went almost a foot and a half sideways and he is not a fictional super hero Mr.Fantastic and all rubber, he's human and that was the end of your season right there, one game out was not going to fix a severely stretched and weaken ACL and other tendon, his season should have been done, they gambled and lost!!!!!

I am a huge fan of Robert Griffen. Went to Baylor, where they require that you go to class if you play football. Managed to beat OU while was there, which never happened prior to him.. Good kid.. But the pistol read offense won't hold up in the NFL. The linebackers are too strong and too fast, eventually, the QB will get hurt. Not a problem at the collegiate level. The four guys behind them are normally just as good, not the case at the next level. An NFL running back lasts about four years. Even a speciman like Earl Campbell got used up quickly. Throwing a football is a highly specialized skill. Running is a bit less specialized, which is why a QB is more important than an RB... RG, most likely, will not play very long... 

That post is right on the money FearWare94, He's a great kid and competitor, but he's got idiots around him, Shanahan coaches scared of losing his job and not for the well being of his guys. I tried to explain to low information fans on a number of post during the season that the gimmick Baylor/Nevada Zone Read Option offense will not last because the players in the NFL are the best of the best and it only successful in collegiate level because not all college players make it to the NFL, and that RB don't last that long and they say he's not a RB he's a QB, well if a player not built like a RB and does what a RB does in the heart of the defense and he gets hit like a RB and he won't last as long and RG3 getting a concussion then a hyper extended knee/ACL sprain and then that contributed to the tear because it weaken it, the low information thrill up their leg fans just don't get it!!!!!

If the franchise does indeed changes it's name, how about the Washington Warriors. It's helmet logo would be the spear from their thowback football helmet, but have the same color scheme as their current football helmet.

I am Native American and the term/name Redskins was and is a derogatory term used over several centuries no different than Injuns, Red Devils, Red Savages, Heathens, etc.  Also no different than today using the term Yellowskins to refer to Asians.  I would have no problem with a team naming themselves after the native tribe of their area such as the Pawnee Braves if there was a team in Oklahoma, or better yet to honor a tribe name a team after the local clan name such as [Skidi - Wolves].



 

coltscode, every fanbase has a jerk in there and i know we have ours, BUT we also have logical ones.....i dont think they took the Nevada offense, just took some pieces of it...i have said many times and still believe that eventually, they will switch the offense to the old Shanahan bootleg scheme and they will. he will be somewhat of a pocket passer in the future because he's smart enough to do that. i never said he was the best and wont until he proves it, i did say he deserves rookie of the year IF he made the playoffs, but also admitted that Luck also deserved it, i was and still am a FAIR guy to it and even admitted that i WANTED FBG to be right with RG3 to the Colts as i liked Luck more, but i'm happy with RG3 as he's MUCH better than the losers we have had and what we have now. and yes, i think Cousins is overrated, BUT hating a team just because of "SOME fans" isnt much of a good reason to me....the Colts had bandwaggon Manning fans and i dont hate the Colts when those fans bashed my team or said insane stuff that i thought was way off base, i just bashed the fan...example, there was another themanning and this one was pathetic (there are two of those posters, one's good, the other was a bozo) and he said RG3 wasnt really hurt which angered me, but i dont hate Denver or Manning for that.

as far as Shanahan is concerned. he's not the best (his defenses usually suck), BUT from i heard from an IDIOT Redskin fan who wanted Rob freaking Ryan as our head coach, that's why i dont want Shanahan gone, the idea of Rob even getting an interview in Washington will upset me as i think Rob will be a worse coach than Rex.

agree FearWare, the pistol ZONE READ option wont work in the nfl. now i have said in the past and will say today that the Pistol can work, it's just another shotgun offense, BUT take the zone read part is VERY risky and i agree there. the pistol though can work as Oklahoma used it with Landry Jones and Sam Bradford and they arent real mobile, i personally kinda wanted to see the pistol and Shanahan bootleg offense mixed and see how that would work.

This is ridiculous.  How about the logo, at least it looks like a warrior and is respectful to the image of Indians.  What about the Cleveland Indians, where the name is more respectful?  The damn logo looks like a mongoloid half retard Indian.  If we called the team the New York Jews, at least the owners would be required to be extremely fiscally responsible.  I'd be OK with that.
