Hey all, it's been a while. Hope your offseason is treating you well! Thought I would start a "pass the time" thread of our favorite places to spend a Saturday in the Fall.
Rules: You can't use your school's stadium. Use your favorite stadium you've been to, and one you wish to see or have a lot of respect for.
For me....
Favorite AQ venue I've visited:[Spartan Stadium] (Michigan State) - The openeing day atmosphere was incredible, the fans were classy, the weather was great, it was my mom's first big away game and we had a blast even though our team lost. A close second for me is Autzen..
Favorite AQ venue I wish to see:[Tiger Stadium] (LSU) - Cajun food, southern girls, the country's best tailgating, Death Valley at night. Epic.
Favorite non-AQ venue I've visited:[Romney Stadium] (Utah State) - Extremely hospitable fans (almost too much), great stadium lay out, beautiful views of the Wasatch Front.
Favorite non-AQ venue I wish to see:[Falcon Stadium] (Air Force) - The scenery, the setting, the cadets, the flyovers. One of the great settings in all of CFB.
Favorite FCS I've visited:Washington-Grizzly Stadium (Montana) - Seems A LOT bigger than it is (25,000 feels like 50,000). Missoula loves their Grizz and the town all but shuts down on game days and they show up no matter how brutally cold it is.
Favorite FCS venue I wish to see:[Kidd Brewer Stadium] (Appalachian State) - Similar to Montana fans, folks from all over the Blue Ridge Mountains come out to see their Mountaineers.
#1- We all know, but I cant use it. = #2- The Swamp, Pretty girls(with no inhibitions) good food if ya know where to look, best daytime atmosphere in nation
#3-bryant/Denny, runs a close second to UF in daytime, but has it all over the swamp at nite! Plus some of the best BBQ in WORLD! If you want to go out for BBQ, they have Dreamland"Dont git no better No where" right ?
Of the ones I have been to. Favorite AQ is Autzen (Oregon) but that is the obvious. besides the obvious is Tennessee. Favorite non AQ is Hawaii. Have never been to an FCS.
Hey Split Splat. I was at Williams Brice When they were filming the Program. USC was playing Tenn and the Chickens pulled the upset. I still have not watched the movie yet. In 87 I was at Tiger Stadium when they filmed Everybodys All American (Dennis Quaid) at the half. LSU was playing Bama that night. Missed that movie too.
