3 year max AL only Keeper league with rising salaries each season. $300 cap. I am at $140 with carryovers. Will need 1 more OF and a DH as well as 1 more sp plus about 7 reserve players. I have several very good carries (remeber AL only) in Adam Jones, Trout, lawrie, doumit, ackley, SP's: Darvish, Fister, Moore to name a few. Pujols would carry at $58 and leave me with about $100 to spend on 1 stud Sp and the other possitions mentioned. Is he worth the $$. As a side note there is little outside of him available right now: texiera and konerko top the list Thanks
Horrible for two months last year and still finished 30-100. 58 is a lot of dough, but it's still Big Albert. Assuming this is his final year left for keeper status, I'd ride him out... unless you can trade him for a salary cut and picks?<br />
should have mentioned that it's an auction draft. could take the chance at getting him cheaper but the other options are limited. Got him for 51 last year. my only thought is with limited options he may go for more? at worst i could trade him later for some cheaper carries.
worst thing that could happen is there is nothing of value to reinvest in and you end up with $20-30 left after the auction. maybe thats not the case but you just need to be sure that doesn't happen. better to overpay a little then not have anybody else to spend it on
