What 3 players would you be happy drafting at #3

If we us the #3 It has to be as close to a lock as you can get. It also has to be a player worthy of picking that high.

#1Star Lotulelei: this is where we need the most help and Star will give us the presense we have desperatly needed in the middle against the run.

#2 Bjoern Werner: this is the type of guy that makes the QB nervous with his relentless motor. Reminds me of Howie.
With good character and fresh tires he'll be around for awhile.

#3 Matt Barkley: Gruden really likes Matt and the kid is smart. Quickly makes his progressions with good pocket presence. The thing that impresses me the most about him is his arm. If you watch tape of him and Luck they look very similar with their mechanics and they both throw a tight spiral with power at the end of the throw. Matts accuracy has gotten much better and his leadership stands out as well.

Did you seriously just insinuate that we should be considering M.Barkley with the #3 overall pick? M.Barkley is BARELY a 2nd round talent and very well may slide into the thrid round. He does NOT have elite arm strength, especially at the NFL level and his footwork AND mechanics have been questioned by several high profile scouts.

If Reggie McKenzie takes M.Barkley in the first round then he should be fired 10 seconds after he turns the card in...

The other two guys I would agree with you on except I'd still rather have S.Floyd over S.Lotulelei. I wouldnt be the least bit unhappy if we decided to get B.Werner either, he's going to be a good one.

#1. A player who produces at an all-pro level
#2. A player who produces at an all-pro level
#3. A player who produces at an all-pro level

I'd be happy with anyone of those guys.

I didn't just insinuate it, The reality is it's a real possability. Many analists have Matt listed in the top 10.Teams like Arizona and Buffalo have shown an interest in Matt.

03/13/2013 - The Buffalo Bills released starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick as part of a salary cap purge Tuesday, making it all the more likely that the team will be using one of its first picks of the 2013 draft on a passer. General manager Buddy Nix stated in December his intention of finding a "good, young quarterback" and that "the time's now for [the Bills]" to go get one. Our mock draft experts tend to agree. The question now, of course, is which one will the Bills take.
Holding the rights to the No. 8 overall pick in the draft, the Bills would appear to be in good position to land the quarterback of their choice. After all, as you've no doubt heard or read by now, the 2013 class of quarterbacks isn't nearly as gifted as last year's crop.
So, the smart money is on the Bills to take Smith if he's there, right? Not so fast. It is interesting to note that under Marrone, Syracuse went 3-0 against Smith and West Virginia over the past three years. In those games, Smith completed 59 percent of his passes for 717 yards and five touchdowns against five interceptions.
While it's true that USC boasted significantly better overall talent than West Virginia, the fact that the Trojans were 2-0 against Marrone is worth mentioning; especially when you factor in that Barkley completed 71 percent of his passes for 511 yards and 11 touchdowns against just one interception in the two games. - Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com

IF no qb is taken within the first 5 picks, this may be one of the first if not only drafts where only 1 qb comes off the board in the first round. When you scan the league who is looking for qbs?

NE - Still have Brady and have him locked in for the rest of his career. Have Mallet as a back up plan
NYJ - Have too much money invested in Sanchez, probably will draft a qb, but wont use their first on one.
Buf - Showed their hand and released Fitzpatrick. They are taking a qb but when?
Mia - Took their qb last year. Aren't drafting another qb early in this draft at all.

Pit - Still have Big Ben, may take a qb later on in the draft, but not in the first round, perhaps in the 2nd
Bal - Just gave Flacco the biggest contract in football. May take a qb but wont be in the first 2 or 3 rounds.
Cle - Took Weeden last year. Down a 2nd rd pick, cant see them taking a qb until much later in the draft if at all.
Cin - Are gonna ride it out with Dalton and added their backup just a few days ago.

Ten - Released Hasselback, added Fitzpatrick and are gonna roll with Locker. Not taking a qb at all in this draft, again unless its way later on.
Ind - Took their qb last year. May take one real late in the draft or get an undrafted one but they arent gonna spend a high pick on a qb.
Hou - For some reason still believe in Shaub. Have Yates who they drafted a few years ago. Maybe they take one late just for more depth.
Jax - They are as unpredictable as it comes on draft day. But they have to decide if its worth it already to cut the chord on Gabbert. They also have Henne who outperformed him last year. They probably do draft one, but IDK if they will in the first without trading down.

Den - Took the qb they wanted last year. IF they draft one it will be late and probably a purely depth move.
KC - Just trade for Alex Smith with the 2nd rd pick. Maybe they take one later on, if they can trade down, perhaps they take one in the 2nd round but they seem committed to Smith.
SD - Probably will draft a qb and it may be as early as the 2nd rd. But I cant see them taking one in the first unless they have a package to move Rivers.
Oak - Too many holes to draft one in the first round without a trade down. IF they can trade down or move Palmer or Pryor for more picks or either or, perhaps they do take one in the first, but Im thinking more like late 2nd or early 3rd.

Was - Took not one but 2 qbs last year. Wont be drafting another qb this year.
NYG - They may take one late for depth purposes, but they have some far greater areas of concern.
Dal - They could be a wildcard and take one late in the first or early in the 2nd rd. Romo is getting older and isn't producing the results in the playoffs that they where and have been hoping for.
Phl - They have Vick and Foles. Without moving one of them, they will probably wait until later if they do draft a qb.

Chi - Still have Cutler and they could suprise people by taking one mid to late round, but they are also down a pick for trading for Marshall last year, so I dont see it, at least not early on.
Min - Gonna ride it out with Ponder and added Cassel. Not counting on them taking a qb at all.
Det - They may take one later but its Stafford s show.
Green Bay - If it fits the BPA mold, they could take one in the 2nd rd. But they aren't using a first round pick on a qb with Rodgers still relatively young.

TB - Maybe takes a qb with either the first or 2nd rd, depending on what they decide with Freeman. I think they are gonna shop him. Very curious that they didnt and haven't engaged in contract talks with him and he will be a free agent by years end. They have the money to get him locked up long term if they wanted him.
Atl - Committed to Ryan. Maybe they take on mid to late round. But they are gonna go all in for a Super Bowl push with this draft.
NO - May take one mid to late round. But they have too many needs on defense and are down their 2nd rd pick.
Car - Maybe later on but certainly not before round 4. Its Cam's show.

SF - Has their qb of the present and future. However they are loaded with picks and IDK if they have anybody behind CK, they probably will draft one in the 2nd to 3rd round range.
STl - Committed to Bradford, I think they brought in Hasselback to back him up. Cant see them taking a qb in this draft at all.
Sea - Gonna roll with Wilson as they should. Still have Flynn or whatever his name backing him up and are down their first round pick for Harvin.
Ari - They may get one but it wont be in the first round. They seem committed to Stanton and they like Hoyer.

What 3 players would you be happy drafting at #3

My top 3:

1) DT Star Lotulelei. This would be the perfect fit for the Raiders. Big, strong, versatile, mean D-lineman. He can play in a 3-4 or 4-3 and will hold the double teams, which will make our entire D a lot better. He stuffs the run and can get into the backfield and get after the QB a little bit too. He's the total package at DT. He was cleared medically for his pro day, so those concerns should be out the window. Had a good showing at his pro day, running a 5.15 40, 30 inch vert and 38 reps on the bench. All us Raider fans have been wanting that big ol' nasty guy in the trenches on D, and we have an opportunity to get him! We're rebuilding this defense, and Star will be the centerpiece to build around. Lets not pass him up.

2) DE Bjoern Werner. I really like Werner. He may not have the upside as some prospects but I truly believe Werner will be a great pro. I've watched a bit of film on Werner and the thing that stands out to me is his first step, he is regularly the first guy off the ball. Werner gets the first step on the OT and that's something you can't teach. He's also a strong guy and can hold his ground against the run. He put up 25 reps at the combine. I see this guy being a solid 8-12 sacks a season type player. With more coaching, and Werners 100% effort, he will be a great starter in the league for many years.

3) DE/OLB Dion Jordan. This man is an athletic freak. It's hard not to want a guy like this on your team. At about 6'6 250lbs, Jordan ran a 4.6 forty and showed great athleticism in the drills. This guy can do everything from setting the edge on run plays with his long arms, to getting after the QB, to even covering slot receivers. Tremendous upside! He can build his frame up to 265-270lbs and be an electric pass rusher in 4-3 or stay at his current weight and play OLB. This guy can be one of the greats. Only worry for me is, I see him as a boom or bust type prospect. That is why he's my 3rd ranked players. Still, I have a little Al Davis in me and I'm mesmorized by this athlete. If Al were still alive, I'm almost positive this would be the pick, and I would love it.

IF the Raiders want Warmack I dont think they can fall much further than 8th. The Jets are as unpredictable as any team on draft day and they may be looking to move down. Tennesse very well could snag Warmack themselves at 10, I think SD is 11 and if 2 or 3 of the best OT are already off the board, they may see it making more sense to take Warmack. IF he got past that wave he wouldn't make it past STL at 15.

I think its possible that we could see the Raiders and Lions swap spots and Detroit take one of the two best OT if Jaxsonville didnt select the other. Pretty sure KC is taking Joekel. But I think Detroit could think about leafrogging Philly to get the next best tackle. Stafford has been hurt just about every year, in large part due to that line. They added Bush, they want to unleash Megatron. Its hard to do all of those things without keeping your qb upright. With the DE market being what it is/was, they may be able to sign somebody out of free agency, I think the focus is gonna be getting an anchor at LT.

The value chart puts dropping 2 spots from 3 -5 at a 500 pt differential. Essentially it would cost Detroit their 2nd rd pick. But it really comes down to how bad Detroit would want to move up or Oakland would want to move down. Where I think RM can rip it up in this draft is if he settles for less compensation this year and a better pick next year. For instance if he asked for the 4th rd pick this year from Detroit and the 2nd next year. He's taking a risk as well if he was to do that, because its possible the Lions make it back to the playoffs and even if they did that compensation would drop significantly following the draft value chart. If Detroit was to just get in the playoffs next year as the last seed, that 2nd rd pick would be valued at 380 pts. Where as their 4th rounder this year is around 100 pts. However if they had a bad season and finished in the top 5, it would be around 530 pts plus they got the 4th rounder this year.

If they could move down from 3 to 5 and than where able to spin 5 to 8 with Buffalo assuming that Smith was Buffalo's target and he was still available, they could probably pry the 2nd round pick out of Buffalo's hands. The difference between 5 and 8 is only 300 pts, but again it would come down to how bad Buffalo may want to move up or how bad Oakland may want to move down. And if the Raiders followed a similar pattern to the proposed Detroit deal above, they could probably add a 3rd this year from Buffalo with a 2nd rd pick for next year. Because again there is risk involved and how bad does the deal want to get done from either side.

So there is options if the Raiders want to trade down and are able to. They can either hold out for the best compensation this year, or some compensation this year and better compensation next year.
