In first place in an eight man h2h league with a seven game lead on second place. I just picked up Love to stash for the playoffs, and then Parker went down, so now I am down two guys. Considering dropping Parker for Thornton. Other option is holding onto him and hoping he returns for playoffs. What do you think? Hit me with suggestions.
I don't need to drop anyone. The question is would you hang onto Parker, or would you drop him for someone else because he is injured and out for a month?
It really depends on the specifics of your league. If you are in a weekly line-up league, then it does not hurt you to stash Parker. If you are in a daily change league, then an injured player on your bench can hurt quite a bit. Also, are you in a points league or category based? I am guessing categories as it would be really hard to get a 7 game lead in a points based league.
Either way, you should not make the decision right now. The fact that you have such a nice cushion buys you some time to wait. Keep him until the day before your playoffs start for you and make the decsion then based on the latest information. If your league, like mine, gives the top 2 teams byes, then you get an extra week to figure things out. Somehow I doubt this would be the case in an 8 teamer.
