Ok, answer the previous over/under question that someone posted and then ask your own over/under question to be answered by the next guy...

The Indians will win 83 games this year? over/under?

I'll say over 83 wins, but no post-season appearance.  Francona, Bourne, Swisher are big improvements.  I think Choo was over rated.

IMO, there is little reason to believe that Jiminez will be any better.  Bauer should probably get some time in AAA, not rushed up to the bigs again.

Masterson, Jiminez, McAllister, Myers - all had losing records last year.  Kluber, Carrasco, or someone else has to emerge to take the 5th spot.

As the roster stands right now, there are just too many "ifs" and uncertainty in the pitching staff for the Tribe to be in contention in September.

I think you are just about spot on with your analysis, but you forgot to ask a over/under ? of your own afterwards.....

Here's another one.... over/under 15 starts before Ubaldo Jimenez get demoted to our bullpen as a "long releiver"?

With the current pitching group: 75/87. Actually it's under/over.  Can't see it any other way until they get some ' real ' FA pitchers who are proven.

-  ha, reminds me of comments teachers used to write on my work.  "Good work, but you get a D+" !

As far as Ubaldo goes, under.  He won't last 15 starts. He's a FA in 2014 - there's even a chance he's going to be cut outright, but under a 50% chance.

OK, over/under.  Bullpens are notoriously inconsistent form one year to the next.  Indians seem real confident that the pen is one of the big strengths of the team.  Over/under that the Indians have a guy with 35 saves?  Perez had over 35 in 2011 and 2012.  I'm going to say under.

I would have given you a solid C!

Over. I have no good reason to believe that Perez can't put up 35 saves again... I believe that the team will win/ have the lead in more games than each of the last two... so that just gives him more chances to hit the 35 save mark even if he has a 'down' year.

over/under 3 Indians with 20 or more home runs this year?

over/under 3 Indians with 20 or more home runs this year?

I think there will be 3: Swisher, Reynolds and one from the following group: Santana, Cabrera and Stubbs.

- Santana has trouble hitting lefties; kind of gets beat up as a catcher; but did have a very good 2nd half of the season last year;
- Stubbs is treding downward and won't be getting cheap HRs in the banjo ballpark in Cinci anymore; and
- Cabrera...in his first 4 seasons never hit more than 6 HRs in a season, then suddenly shot up to 25 HRs in 2011...dropped back down to 16 last year.  Who knows?

Having said that, one of the guys from that group will probably come through and hit 20.  I'm guessing Santana.

And last year no one hit 20 HRs, right?  So 3 is sure a huge improvement over zero.

over/under: Francona gets ejected 3 times

- I'm saying OVER.  And how refreshing will that be after Mr. Passivity, Manny Acta.

Yeah Acta just didn't get it.  Once in a while a manager has to go off.  If done right, it can motivate the team.  Manny had some good points, but motivation wasn't one of them.

Also, fans love it when a manager gets thrown out.

3 sounds like a solid # of ejections this year.... i'll say push. 3 exactly it will be.

OK, the over/under # for this question is 0.5. Over or under the number of guys with the first name "Yan" making the team out of spring training.

Santana has trouble hitting lefties?  He has an OPS over .800 against them last year (better than against righties) and his career OPS against lefties is over .850 (way better than against righties).  Personally anything less than 30 HRs from Santana this year will be a disappointment.

Stubbs actually hit more HRs on the road last year than at home at Cincy's park (8 vs 6).  Think 20 could be tough as I think he'll sit a lot against righties.

Personally would go with the over on 3. Swisher, Reynolds and Santana and I think one of Chisenhall/Kipnis/Cabrera gets 20.

I'll say over on the ejections though don't think it matters.

I'm saying under.  Think the bench is Marson, Aviles, Raburn, and Giambi (assuming they keep 4 on the bench).  Yan Gomes needs to go to AAA and work on catching.  Has hit well enough to make the team but needs to work on defense.

Over/Under....40 degrees for the home opener...

Man I hope you are wrong about Giambi making the team. I think I'd rather give that roster spot to Z Carrera. My rationale is that Carrera would be more effective in a pinch running spot or even laying down a bunt late in the game rather than letting Giambi take three shots at knocking one out of the park. Nevertheless...

I'm going to take the over on the 40 degrees for home opener, only for the fact that i'm in an optimistic mood right now.

Over/under 45. The number of bags stolen by michael bourne this year?

Definitely under. Reynolds is the only one IMO that will for sure be over. Stubbs will be if he gets enough at-bats but not sold he will if he struggles against righties. Bourn did K 155 so he is a possibility but can't see more than 2 addition guys doing it. Swisher hasn't done it since 2006. Over/Under 9.5 starting pitchers used this year...
