Teddy V is at least 5 years overdue for a forced retirement from the striping corps...the guy is beyond awful. 

I would love to see an upset at Mackey tonight, but I am not sure Michigan will lose with the title on the line. Then again, it wasn't just byrd hitting 3s, it was the whole team, sans Hammons playing tough and smart. Ronnie Johnson is coming around, Chooch was great. Terone was too.

They came out against Purdue like it was the final four. I can't say I blame them. The seniors rememberd getting blown out by JaJaun Johnson and Etwan Moore and wanted revenge. but still, they did play their best game of the year at Mackey.

That was not IU's best game of the year.  Purdue is just terrible.

Yeah, it's SO CRAZY that a #1 seed would lose to a team slated to be a #4 seed!?! Come on, people, this wasn't Penn St. over Michigan here. For the time being, Indiana drops out of the #1 overall seed and loses their spot in the Midwest Region to Kansas.

 I said absolutely nothing about OSU. Get your facts straight. I merely stated that its sad at this point in a season that a team continues to lose almost every week and is still nearly a lock for a 1 seed because of how weak the field is.

It's not sad.  It's typical. 
Michigan State last year, lost 2 times in a row last week of feb/first week of march.  1 seed.
2011 Pitt lost 3 of their last 6 games, 1 seed.
2010 Syracuse lost their last reg season game, then lost their first BE tourney game.  1 seed.
...I don't want or need to continue.

It doesn't signify a weak field nor is Indiana a 1 seed lock anyways.

I don't know when the last time number one swapped so many times, maybe never.  A #1 losing yet retaining its spot...I'm sure its happened, but I'm finding hard to come up with the right google search for it.  Regardless you can blame both of those on the voters as much as anything else.  They could have put Gonzaga number 1 in mid january and all your gripes would disappear.  No more swaps, no more team losing and retaining number 1.  In the Indy 500 it isn't a weak field just because one car doesn't create major separation or because there are a lot of lead changes, that has nothing to do with the quality of the cars.

Or late January...whenever there were no 1 loss teams left.

Mastertim, you are exactly correct. Just because there is not a dominate team that is head and shoulders above the rest has zero to do with it being a " weak year." That is some loser's ignorant statement. What it means is that the parity that most people who watch all the teams have been discussing ALL season has produced MORE top teams than EVER which is why everyone has been SO interested in this years tournament. Just because, in basketball, the conferences shift more often and the BIG has proven to have the best "top tier" this year with all those teams splitting, does not make IU any less great than they were before.
