I made 2 brackets; I got: florida, saint louis, ohio state, miami; florida winning and vcu, duke, ohio state, miami; duke winning
-This is the same recipe that got donovan 2 championships: balanced scoring, size down low, great defense, solid guards -Yes, Duke could easily lose to creighton, michigan state, or louisville, but been a fan of this team all year; plumlee may be the best 5 in the nation, banking on solid showings from curry, cook -No one seeds in these brackets may look bad, but the parity this year will show like in 2006..Louisville is one of the worst 3 point shooting teams in country, great defense but going with my gut; not a gonzaga fan so I could see just about anyone winning that bracket; Crean is not the best coach, this team seems solid all around but I could easily see miami/nc state winning; if mclemore is hot, kansas could easily win their region, but I love smart and vcu, florida, even gtown, I think elijah johnson, etc are too inconsistent
Took St Louis as well out of the midwest- if they had been seeded in the south or west, I wouldn't have even hesitated...my Final 4 is... St. Louis, Indiana, Pitt, Georgetown
ya im riding the saint louis train, great defensive team playing for majerus..non-conference losses were without mitchell..a group of inspired juniors/seniors
I'm not drinking the Saint Louis kool aid, you guys have fun with that. i think the winner of the NC/Nova game could take down Kansas, the perrenial overachievers that they are. I do 1 bracket and enter in in all the pools im in, and my final four ended up Duke, Ohio St., Florida, Miami with Miami over Ohio St in the title game
I have Duke, Wisconsin, Michigan and Miami.....with Miami winning it all.
Duke is Duke...and they play their best ball this time of year, I do not believe in Louisville and think they are over-seated. Michigan State will be Duke's toughest game...although I think Cincy will wake them up in the round of 32, that game will be closer than most think.
Wisconsin coming out the West might seem like a shock...but they have beat a good number of teams that were ranked in the Top 10 when they played. They are tough, play their game and I think they will get hot in this tourney from the outside. If their bigs are hitting threes they will run through the West region....don't sleep on Bo Ryan, one of the top 5 coaches in the country.
Michigan is a team I really did not want to advance....but they Burke, Hardaway and Robinson are going to be hard to deny. That trio will get hot and lead a Final Four push.
Miami....they are long and athletic and long and athletic teams reach the Final Four on a regular basis. Of all the college basketball I have watched this year, Miami has looked the most impressive...there is not much this team can not do. I see them reaching the Final Four with relative ease with wins over Pacific, Colorado, Bucknell and Indiana.
A little homer in with Florida, but vegas seems to think i'm not too crazy. They have Florida tied with Duke and Miami as the 3rd favorites to win it all at 8:1 odds, and Florida is actually favored over Kansas to win the the south region, with Florida at 7:5 odds and Kansas at 5:2 odds.
I just don't get the love for Florida. No good wins since November. Best win away from Home was Alabama on a neutral floor. And they suck in close games. Not to mention, they haven't exactly been good lately (5-4 in their last 9)
I agree I Rebel that they have certainly been playing much worse of late and haven't won a game close game all year which scares me a bit. But they have been to back2back elite eights and flat out destroyed many teams, when they are on IDK if any team is better. I was a little surprised to see them favored over Kansas to win the south, because Kansas is the bigger name and 1 seed.
IMO any of the top 5 have a pretty good chance of coming out of this region.
Lville, did anyone REALLY think New Mexico would be close to the ff??? It was ALL fan hype like every year. I did have them winning one single game....thanks a lot Lobos for that tiny sip of ur crappy kool-aid. Not so Kool anymore.
Don't drink the Georgetown kool-aid either. History repeats itself....they are NOT a tournament team! I know they may look good in the Big East, but I'm tellin ya....stay away!!!!
