Nads... I read these in order. The posting about the book is classic...

Heck... the fact they were close was more than expected here.. They had only 6 scholarship players last week....UCONN has always been a fun game win or lose...for some reason...I remember when UCONN was not very good and coach got them into the BE and they slowly improved and now bang...

Golf in the morning.... vacation next week????????or a couple of days at least..(maybe)...

later all...

Nice posts last night, Nads.  Thanks for all the help and info.

I loved the racing book chapters.  A mullet sounds much more appealing now.

By the way, we have nearly the same list of golfers this week.  Sorry if I jinxed them for you.

HEY nadsofsteel, maybe you can tell me whats going on in golf? I looked at my line up and all five players had the same score. Then I look at the leader board and just about every one is tied for first. What gives?

Jimbo - that book is based on false stereotypes.
Golldurn - Every racing fan knows only about half of those are true.
Ok for some fans about 3/4 of them but no way all.

I'll have you know that my mullet is the envy everywhere - people always smiling and pointing.
You should try one.

Bama - check in the standings tab.

The leaderboard is for the current tournament.
Since the tournament starts this morning - everyone is tied for first so far.

I went with the hot hands this week-( J.B Holmes and Kevin Na)- who are doing decent but the two Lefties are struggling. Wasn't Matt Kuchar the one who had a suit against the PGA having something to do with him being allowed to have a cart? I took a flier on him this week- hopefully his legs are strong enough to carry him ....

Supercharger I think you're thinking of Casey Martin.  It's unbelievable his case went all the way to the Supreme Court.

Casey had a rare circulatory disorder called Klippel-Trenaunay-Webber Syndrome which made one of his legs very weak.  During his college years, the disorder got progressively worse.  The NCAA allowed him to use a cart.

Casey won 17 junior golf titles and was teamed with Tiger Woods and Notay Begay to win the 1994 NCAA Golf Championship at Stanford University.

He is the head coach of University of Oregon men's golf team. I don't believe he has played since 2006.

Personally, I'm glad he was given a shot at his dream of playing on the PGA tour - bunch of blowhards.
