It's tiring answering this question from trolls like lowvolt.  Once again:

1.  We're undefeated; one of only 2 BCS conference teams that can make that claim
2.  The coaches and writers that vote the rankings see us as a more complete team (i.e. we have an offense and a defense) than TTU.
3.  You can ask the same question about schedule of any of the top 10 teams.  It's a catch- 22; if you beat them, they weren't a great team to begin with.  If they beat you, well...
4.  If we make it to the NCG, the "who have we beat" argument is invalid as we'll have been thru an SEC schedule undefeated, including a win against the media darling of the moment Gators.

I'm interested who you feel is the best team out there right now and what arguments you have to support your assertion.  If it's anyone other than Bama or TTU, I look forward to reading the contortions of logic you must use in support of your choice.  I'd especially love to see you present USC as your choice.

Since you failed to present another team with supporting arguments in your original post, I'm making he assumption you're just another troll that lacks the courage to present an intelligent argument for peer review.  I'm challenging you to prove me wrong by a follow-up post.

you know though, why I'm here, may as well toss a thought into the ring. There are many who think that Alabama won't even win the SEC, worse yet the National Championship.

I'm sure there a 'istics to both prove and disprove otherwise. Florida seems to be the clear favortie to win the conference, and, given 'Bama's history of no-show in the really big one's ... well ... I tend to agree, the SEC championship will go to the Gators.

Now let me qualify my statement by saying this. I havn't picked a winner since the 1975 Rose Bowl, I just wanted make an observation while I was on this "feel good" thread.

Bama is going down!!! You heard me correctly. This weekend Bama is getting it's first L. With Bama losing this weekend, and Tex Tech losing to OU, Texas will be #1 BCS next week, Florida # 2, nd OU #3.

The Tide doesn't stand a chance against Florida; and they might even get beat by Auburn. Florida is, by far the best team in the country; and this year L.S.U. is leading in the recruiting class in the S.E.C.; overall L.S.U. is # 3 and Alabama is # 6. Nick won't win one this year, that's for sure. Have a good day ..... Catch ya later ......

Shocker, I think it is pretty hard for Bama to lose one when they are off this weekend.

What the haters fail to realize is we don't / shouldn't care about Bama being ranked #1.  It doesn't matter if the winner of Oklahoma vs Texas Tech moves ahead of Bama in the next poll. It doesn't matter if almighty Florida were to move ahead of us. We don't care. Alabama controls their own destiny now. 

Personaly, I hope we do drop to second in the next poll. Theres no need to give the Barners any extra incentive of playing #1. We've already worn the #1 bullseye and even defended it on the road at LSU. If (when imho) we drop to #2 in the next poll - that will only serve as more motivation. I believe this team sees themselves as  underappreciated anyway. Dropping us in the poll will only feed the fire.

The only thing that really matters is the next game. Alabama controls their own destiny now.
