How about putting out a list of people that are living on money provided by the Gov. that I contribute to? The neighborhood I live in has a few "Section 8" homes that allows some poor under privleged people to live in a more upscale neighborhood, should their names be printed in a newspaper?

  I am with you 100%. The Stupid Idiotic "alleged" News Journal should be sued big time. I don't think there needs to be a crime commited against any of the parties listed, the entire group should get together and do a law suit against the paper. The case against the New York Journal would be a lot stronger if all in the group of gun owners would stand together and fight it.

As stupid as his comments were, and they were incredibly stupid, I'm not sure where the you got any anti-Itialian-American sentiment from them.  He used Pelosi, Reid, and Obama in the same sentence.  Pretty obvious he picked people because they're democrats in top-level positions, not because they are of Italian heritage.

I'm rolling with them, a great pass rush and a great rushing attack can win in today's NFL. Their toughest game will be Sunday and if they get by that one, they will go into the playoffs on one hell of a roll.

sec--I agree it's a bad idea.  And yet there are--20 5 & 6 year olds that are dead in Conn.  I have NEVER been one to push gun control until after that massacre.  And unfortunately there are those that still have the audacity to say "guns don't kill, people do"  Does it really make any difference on what the "logic" is when we lose 20 innocent children.  That is inhumane as well as inexcusable.  We need stiffer penalties, stronger laws, more stringent laws on what types of weapons civilians can own, and more thorough background checks. 

When people can get mowed down in a theater or an elementary school, the fault is not entirely on those using the weapons.      

Regarding the publication of names (and even addresses) of gun owners, I heard an interesting discussion on NPR. This could either have the impact of causing criminals to avoid those houses and hitting those known not to have guns, or those who target guns for thefts now know which to scope out and hit when vacant. Comments? Either way I see nothing good about this.

Toyota, I think you are dead wrong (no pun intended).  If I were a criiminal, why would I go after n=more guns?  Being a criminal means you already have munitions.

You'd have a very long list .  So what's your point?  You'd have to include let me see retirees our military people--I mean do you really want to do that?  And that's just a couple of groups that would ultimatelu find out where you live and who you work for.

bigred, you appear to be lost in the shooting.  Do you not realize the LAW WORKED!!!!!  That's right the Law worked,  Adam went to Dick's Sporting Goods and tried to by a Bushmaster and was turned down cold!!!!!  So what did he do?  He did what any criminal who has a mind set to do something destructive like that he went and killed someone for what they purchased legally.  That's right he murdered his mother so he could STEAL HER LEGALLY BOUGHT GUNS and used them to kill the kids.  If it hadn't been her it would have been someone else or he would have used another means to kill those kids.  Like say a Car Bomb!!!

That is what is so laughable about all those crying for more laws to allow the Government to control more of your lives.  You react without thinking. 

When someone is bent on doing something like  that they won't stop until they get what they want and they don't care who they have to go through to get it done.  If however a Teacher or the Prinicple had been carrying, they may not have stopped some of the kids from dying, but they may have saved a few.

Remember this when you outlaw guns, only outlaws will have guns.

The fault lie entirely with the people who pulled the trigger.  I carried a gun for a long time and never once did I see it pull it's own trigger.  Never once did I see a gun load itself.  To try to lay the blame on something other than the shooter...well that is the reason why we are in the situtation we are in today.  It is never your fault, it is always someone elses fault.

  I have seen ignorant White people,  ignorant Black people,  ignorant Hispanic people and ignorant Italian people, the race does not put one above the other. Some of Nancy's comments as Obama was shoving the Health Care down our throats was just that, IGNORANT. "We have to pass the Bill so you can find out what is in it". That was one of the Dumbest pollitical staterments in recent history.
