Good evening gentlemen. In just two short days, we'll learn whether our season continues or if we'll be "one and done." History shows that inexperienced teams like ours typically don't do well and usually break under pressure, but we have enough vets on this team that should offset some of the jitters that the newbies will have. It's gonna be important to jump on 'em early and often and keep them on their heels to have a chance to win this game. Plus we're going to have to play Ravens' football and find a way to get some takeovers on a team that typically gets them, rather than gives them up. You KNOW we'll get a healthy dose of Ray Rice. If we can figure out a way to slow him down, we actually have a shot at the next level......
But first things first. Who do ya like tomorrow? Bengals/Texans or Seahawks/'Skins? ![]() I'm taking the two home teams: Washington & Houston, thinking that home cooking will prevail...on THIS day. And 514 lives to strut like a peacock for one more week! lol ![]() GO Colts! |

I'm not going to predict any outcomes, not even the Colts, because according to Skins fans they have the next lord and savior and the Colts made a huge mistake taking Andrew Luck, and one guy can only point out my punctuation mistakes, they have no clue how their own teams offense works, so it's a waste of time on the general NFL forum to even say anything anymore, they just call who they disagree with an idiot or moron or ignorant... I give facts and figures and stats and comments by the coaches themselves and the low information fans don't even bother to look it up, And one guy just likes to say "I think this" "I think that" and nothing to back it up his thinking. it's just sad!!!!! We as long time Colts fans have learned to be humble and gracious with any success of the Colts because it's a top franchise and the while the fans of long time sucking teams get a glimmer of hope and just become annoying, arrogant and obnoxious sphincters!!!!! I know I need to stay out of there, but it's hard to resist and most of the time I just laugh at the threads and comments :}LOL Ps. Who tending bar Sunday? Feel free to drink the good stuff, alcohol free is my choice, I'll fix myself a virgin cuba libre again, so enjoy yourselves, just don't drink and drive please ;}Go Colts!!!!! |

well we are a few hours away folks, and i LOVE the fact that 95% of reporters dont give the Colts a chance. numbers dont tell the whole story. take away 3 games and the #'s are much different. well anyway im really looking foward to today's game. i mean who knows how the Ravens defense can be beat better than their ex coach.
go colts |

I'm with you RB, as a matter of fact I have Butterfly's in the pit of my stomach. I never expected this years team to be a playoff team so this is like frosting on the cake. It will also be a great learning experience for this young Colts team. I have learned to not count out Luck & this Colt team. So let's go kick some Butt and here's to a good game. And I also raise my glass to you 13, I don't know what's wrong but look forward to your speedy recovery and hope you can join us in the CBSB real soon. Go Colts !!

C'mon fellas, this team played their hearts out and had it not been for Anquan Boldin along with some dropped passes on our part, this game would have been a lot closer. The Hosses have nothing to be ashamed about. They can take a lot from this game and use it for motivation for next year. Keep in mind, they were still in it until late in the game. You know what else bums me out? As quiet as its kept, we might have seen Dwight Freeney for the last time in a Colts' uniform. I hope I'm wrong. He's got a lot of football left in him; I can't imagine him suiting up for anyone else, but I said that about a lot of former Colts, most notably Peyton Manning and Jeff Saturday.
Give the Ravens credit where it's due. This game was destined to be a Raven's victory once Ray Lewis indicated that he was going to retire. We all knew that they were going to be emotionally charged, but when Arians was sidelined, I knew that his absence was going to be felt. And while we're giving credit, you have to acknowledge Caldwell's work with Flacco and his play calling. He might not be a good head coach, but he appears to be a legitimate and worthy OC. Good job Coach! Lastly, we need to address our offensive line woes and get some more playmakers on defense, but let's chalk this one up for experience and let's root for a certain number 18. I would love nothing better for him to get another ring and embarass the Patriots in the process.....Can we do that CCB? LOL!! We still have some football to enjoy, so the bar is still open. The next big event for us will be the Combine. But first, let's get ready for a Super Bowl. Like my barkeeper would say: GO COLTS!

proud of the guys today, in a season that was destined to be a learning year you gave us all thrills, and excitement of what is to come. ill tell ya what we ran the ball effectivly in the 1st half. i like ballard. he runs hard. although he seemed to get winded in the no huddle. but he had most of the touches. a couple of drops cost us. and i didnt like the play calling in Ravens territory but the ravens D was all over us. i thought avery's ball was a catch. i thought reggies play in the 1st was a catch worthy of a replay. but celavie. like i say you gotta score td's to win in the playoffs....lets go PEYTON...

oh and 1 more thing vaughn was getting put out of position all game against boldin. i was suprised they stuck with that matchup so long. i mean he was replaced late with byrd but i thought davis should have been on him. davis did a good job on Andre Johnson last week. i thoughtbhe was the better match up...thats all i got

RB, I thought the same thing! Perhaps they were worried that Davis' weight or lack thereof would have been used against him. But it would have been wise to at least try it. On the Boldin TD, Vaughn did everything he could; in fact I thought he was going to get flagged for interference. He had his arm on the front of Anquan, trying to deflect the pass, but didn't turn around to find the ball. Oh well.....Anybody want to guess what our first two picks (1 & 3)will be in the 2013 NFL draft? What's that you say? A shutdown CB and an offensive lineman.......NO KIDDING!And while we're at it, let's make another trip to the Great White North to get some more players. If Jerrell Freeman is any indication of how they groom future stars for the NFL,, I say we set out immediately!! |

I think Freeney is gone, too. There was a time when Dwight was the most disruptive defender in football, IMHO, and I will always remember him for that. But this year, he was a total non-factor. He had 10 tackles all season! 10!!! Granted 5 of those were sacks, but when your starting DE is averaging less than 1 tackle per game, it's not hard to see why we were having so much trouble with the run. Dwight knew it, too. I don't think he ever bought into the new "LB" position. He seemed like he was going to just keep rushing the QB and that was that. I think he will end up playing for a title contender next season, maybe someone like the Patriots or Broncos, where he will only be asked to come in on 3rd and long and try for the sack. I definitely don't see him in Indy next year. That ought to free up another $18M for Grigson to build with. Best of luck, Dwight. We'll miss the player you were!

The game yesterday showed so many holes, 1st off the worst o-line in the league, they suxed!! Big holes in defense!! NO go to receiver!! Flacco heaved up a ton of balls with no skill or precision and A.Balwin just stepped up huge and caught them, <span style="color: #0066cc;"> Colts need a top receiver BAD!! The little receivers they have are good just NOT great! Oh to have <span style="color: #0066cc;"> Calvin Johnson, is there any way besides trading A.Luck to <span style="color: #0066cc;"> Lions to get him????? Just kidding trading Luck of course :}LOL Colts have 10 to 15 years with a promising A.Luck and I want that than maybe 3 or 4 years... A young P.Manning in like 2001 era might have carried the team, but not 12 years in the tooth later, just wasn't going to happen, he had to go to an already previous year playoff team to do that as seen, Irsay did the right thing letting him go unconditionally. Don't feel sorry for Peyton because I don't, I feel sorry for kids with cancer not a millionaire athlete with a non life threatening boo boo. people with such injuries still end up with non issue long lives. So all that said and I tried to explain, but some will find fault with something, Spelling? Punctuation? They think this, They think that, just my opinion so take it or leave it it's up to you all. Now I root for Peyton since Colts are out and P.Manning to win a SB with a better team than the Colts at the time couldn't have put together... :} |

Sigh........I give you one sentence, CCB, and I wind up with you giving us all the eleven o' clock news! LOL....It's all good. I fully understand your rationale for allowing Peyton to leave. I didn't say I had to like it, and yes, I still think it was done poorly, BUT YOU'VE MADE YOUR POINT. Forgetabout punctuality, we come here to share opinions about all things Colts. If I want an Op/Ed, I'll read the Washington Post. Let's get to the good part, like CCB says:
In order of priority, what should be on the Colts' wish list (Top 5 - Here's mine) 1) Offensive lineman / Cornerback - Best of who's left 2) Sub 4.4 Wideout w/ height (think Pierre Garcon with better hands) 3) Cornerback / Offensive lineman - Best of who's left 4) Cornerback 5) Offensive lineman 6) Defensive Tackle 7) Offensive lineman If we go with an OL 1st, then CB for a third pick or vice versa. Of course, should the Colts and Dwight Freeney part ways (and I hope we can find a way to keep him - for less money), we might as well use the savings and go after Jake Long. Hmmmmmmmm! |

RB, I turned after 28-0, but Warmack & Jones are definitely legit, but will probably be off the board by the time we pick, but we can always hope can't we?

RB, you're right on the money regarding the 'Bama front line. The article below came out this AM.
Memo to Ryan Grigson: We want this guy: http://www.cbssports.com/collegefoo tball/story/21512904/legacy-of-bama s-jones-reaches-far-beyond-football -field It's a good read; everything about this guy screams Indianapolis! CCB, we're close on a lot of picks, but I don't think we should spend too much time on safeties. I think we're okay in that area. The other spots are glaring weaknesses. GO Colts!! |

i think the secondary would be better if we could apply better pressure, freeney was a big disappointment this year. not only against the run but when rushing and using the spin move he seemed to be going to the ground more often. i think he was mentally not there this year due to him not liking and adjusting to the 3-4. although he seemed to line-up on the ball outside most times. when healthy powers is a good corner imo. but can we keep him on the field. if he is back he and davis at the corner are viable.
im hoping chapman comes back in a big way, completely healed he could fill a big void in the middle. there's lots of cash to spend WISELY, pls dont go after big name primadonna's. kappa we need O&D Line players that have that mean streak. but all these guys played tough all year. there is no 1 on this team that got beat due to lack of effort. that in itself is a victory. but keep moving foward, there's a bright light ahead. i will root for peyton to win the SB this year. would we still be playing if he was in the blue's, maybe. i highly opposed cutting him, but i will admit this franchise is in great shape for the future, rather than the next 3 years. |

wow great work ccb, there are some guys with size there. yes i also heard that the Colts got that pick back. question is do they keep the #1 or trade it to pick up a 2 and maybe 3 or 4th rd er. i guess it depends who's on the board. coming off last years draft, i will say i have the utmost confidence in the draft.
FYI....the talk on 660wfan radio is that arians will follow tedesco to san diego. i hope not, i would like to see arians calling plays for a couple more years. he did a great job with all the rookies. that experience is priceless. |

I agree with RB; great post CCB. Regarding Arians, my hope is that he stays, but I think one of the main reasons (along with his superior knowledge of player personnel - according to reports, he had compiled a mental assessment of most of the current starters on the Bolts) why they hired Tedesco was the possibility of having Arians coming aboard and continuing and ongoing relationship that functions well. Barring unforeseen circumstances, Arians is a goner. The question now becomes who do the Colts have in mind to replace him as OC? The foregone conclusion for most would be Clyde Christensen, but I'd prefer someone else. |
