I think you hit it right on the head. We need a QB, that can keep the defense from stacking the line, waiting for Peterson. Harvin is a great WR, and the rest did make some tough catches in that second meeting with GB. Go out and get a free agent or trade for a QB, and groom Ponder a little longer if the coaches think he is the man. I like Alex Smith, some of you don't. Don't even know if we could afford enough picks or players to get him, but it couldn't hurt to see what the 49's want. This team looks like they could make a run at it next year, but not with the QB situation we have now. Webb should have had a lot more snaps last year. Him not being ready is on the coaches. Some times you have to roll the dice, and I wanted the Vikings to grab Drew Brees, when the Chargers cut him loose. Time to roll them again??

Husker, I am a cornhusker fan also. I would like to roll the dice with Alex Smith. I do think Ponder will be a great QB just may need some time. Some competition may wake up a giant. It won't hurt to ask what they want. May make him try harder. I also wanted Drew Brees. I think Alex Smith is also a QB that hasn't hit his ceiling yet. Let's wheel and deal! But keep the draft picks for defense. Go Vikings!
