Should Gooddell look into "Sabotage-gate"?January 22, 2013 9:49 pm
Callahan's not the one who threw 5 INTs.
But it was part of the playbook. |

But it was part of the playbook. Really didn't know a coach designed a INT play in the playbook, maybe they should do away with them it doesn't seem to be a play that helps your team win. |

I think what the OP is saying is because the game plan was changed within 72 hours of the game, there wasn't much time to get it right and it wasn't very effective. Because it was unpracticed that caused a lot of confusion during the game.

Callahan's not the one who threw 5 INTs. Sure wasn't He also wasn't the pro bowl center that went on a drinking binge the day before the game Anyone remember what John Lynch said on the side line? Something like "We ran all these plays in practice" That SB was karma for Al IMO. Gruden became bigger than Al in Oakland. Nobody was talking about Al bringing the Raiders back to respectability, so Al traded him. Al then promoted a guy that decided to keep just about every aspect of Gruden's O intact Some Raider fans will harp on "rumors" being floated around that Gruden was going to jet for Notre Dame in an effort to get a new contract. SFW. Gruden deserved a new deal paying him some decent money. Al never valued coaches because a good coach steals the micro-managing owner's thunder. Al got exactly what he deserved on that deal |
