You sir are a moron. During the bankruptcy years the Pens plan was to dump players and payroll so when it went into bankruptcy Mario could buy the team. But , before that ,all the way back when I was a season ticket holder 87 thru 94 the stands where packed to the gills. Then the ticket prices doubled and I bailed out and so did many others. So if you would have gotten out of your mommy and daddys basement and had a clue what was going on at that time you would know what was up and you would keep you big mouth shut. By yapping about things you know nothing about, you just show your stupidity.
By the way hows your Flyers doing tonight? Panther Pride, yah right. |

Wow Buzz, let me see If I get your post straight or not.
you were a season ticket holder from 84 - 97 but when the team, who was losing money hands over fist and declaring bankruptcy according to you, doubled the price of tickets you and others like you bailed. Why? was it because there wasn't a team worth rooting for in your mind? Was it because the team wasn't winning anymore? or was it because the price doubled? Whichever way you answer those questions tells everyone that Flyers was right, the pens were at the bottom of attendence for years because they didn't have a product that you as a fan stated was worth putting up good money to root for, until they landed Sid and Malkin. So to me, a fan of neither team, I'd have to say the only stupid post on the subject was yours as you tried to put someone down and all you ended up doing was proving their point. I have another question for you. When Sid and Malkin are gone and they Pens no longer have a contending team, are you going to give up your season tickets again, because they just don't have the talent to compete, sending the owners back into bankruptcy? Just wanted to know. What flyers was stating all franchises have down times, the Deadwings of the 80's, the Pens, the Islanders are struggling so is New Jersey. About the only franchises that don't struggle that I can see, is Toronto and Monteral. OBTW, if I remember right, The Pens were very close to moving to Kansas City, if the city hadn't ponied up for the new arena. |

well, that wasn't a great effort. Leighton is bad, and the offense was lethargic from the night before.
Anders Lindback could end up being a very solid starting goalie. Large yet nimble with good foresight. Brayden Schenn taking a header into the boards was scary. That looked painful. Dunno which hurt worse, his noggin or his neck. Nice effort by Luke Schenn recently. He's been plaing both ends of the ice very well. Next up, goin' to the Garden! Love these games. this flyers/penguins arguement is tiresome. |

Yeah, Red, not a good effort all around last night. Lieghts is bad and I think Homer did a poor job evaluating what options he had at the backup spot in the offseason. We don't know what options they pursued, but he definitely should have done something to prevent us from having Leighton in as backup.
As usual, Buzz is pure comedy. At this point he had to be doing it on purpose. |

Flyers better get their asses in gear tonight. Totally blew it against the Lightning, after such a strong performance against the Panthers. I know that it is tough to play two days in a row, but every team is going to have to do it and this season is going to be full of back to back games. This team has a lot of young guys on it, so I don't want to hear the excuses of being gassed. Beating the Rangers in MSG will be tough, the Flyers need to stay off the PK and take advantage of any PPs they get. Keep the Gaborik, Richards, Nash line in check and I think the Flyers have a great chance to win this.

Man, torts has those guys playing some hockey that the opposition finds frustrating. Pesky stick work and fine work at blocking pucks n lanes. Hope Callahan recovers quick. He was in pain.

The Rangers system is definitely frustrating. It's like the puck was magnatized to the Ranger's sticks. I'm calling shenanigans.
But yeah, the way they play is tough for the Flyers to match up against. Gotta give Bryz a ton of credit, he has played great and last night was no exception. He did a great job keeping the Flyers in the game and gave the Flyers a chance to win a game where they clearly got outplayed. For the first time in a long time, offense is the problem for the Flyers. |

You sir are a moron. During the bankruptcy years the Pens plan was to dump players and payroll so when it went into bankruptcy Mario could buy the teamI'm wondering, which bankruptcy years are you referring to? Because the Penguins have come extremely close to bankruptcy on at least 3 known occasions. |
