Still waiting on 3 west  coast guys, this is normal.  The only one I might MIGHT be worried about is Kondolo.

I would find it funny, but a bit sad too, if Johnny Stanton heels us last minutes. Imagine this, we have a camera crew taping Stanton as he faxes his LOI, then we cut to the Lincoln offices waiting for Stanton fax. He get it, only is a blank piece of paper with the words "Go UCLA". Cut back to Stanton, and now he pulls out a powder blue hat with UCLA embroider on it. And Johnny laughing, just cackling, and laughing, saying "call me Johnny Bruin!". It would be funny, and a bit sad.

Stanton has sent his in now. It happened while most were waiting on Veii. Speaking of that, I feel like I just wasted an hour of my time just to watch that kid pick Maryland.

TreVell Dixon 6'0" 180 lb ATH (Baldwin, LA) - commits to Nebraska for a third time and actually faxes in his letter of intent!  Wow.  Did not see this one coming AT ALL.

Dixon wow.... What a recruiting saga

Nut is going to post all the wrap-up stuff (which is awesome) but figured I'd get an early start from my perspective.

Overall, I think it's tough to knock the job the staff did this year.  I've been openly negative regarding this staffs ability to recruit which in turn limits our ability to compete.  With that being said I don't expect a top 5 National class every year and I think classes like this are sufficient enough for us to at least compete for B1G Championships...and maybe sneak into the NC race every once in a while.  

So overall I'm happy.  I would have liked to have seen one or two top notch WR's.  I think they failed miserably in that aspect of this class but we can afford it this year with the young wr's we currently have in the program.

NU had more pressing needs for this class than WR. We got one good one and for this group that's enough. More importantly, it looks like they addressed the needs along both lines, the secondary and a QB for the future in Stanton.

I agree with this NE2WA but it doesn't change the fact that I still think we failed in the receiver department.  Just because you do your job in one area doesn't mean you can't excel in others as well.  We were after several top notch WR's and we missed on every one of them.  Gladney doesn't exactly give me the warm fuzzies.

i agree with schlly that the staff did a very good job this year recruiting wise. i think the reality is recruits do their homework so some will not see nebraska as a place that can get them a good college career or nfl. i understand that so the key will be to have classes that are similar to this every year and pray that the 3-4 stars step up in key areas.


im happy that we attack OL/Dl and defense that was needed area and i still think we need to do the same next year and stock pile on OL and DL so we dont have to settle with playing injuried lineman. were gonna need to do the same defense next year as we lose the secondary and some DL too.


as for the lack of Wr lets be honest julio or aj green type of wr isnt gonna come here bc of are weird offense and how we spread the ball. not enough rock to share with wr and rbs ive always said bell/turner could be like clemson duo in that type of offense. so im not worried or suprise bc are passing game will never be that sexy to make recruits want to flock over here and sign up. so whatever we get is a plus in my book, most wr that come here wont be the go to guy      


lets keep it up out of every 4 years you need 2-3 good classes if you want to have long success and hope to get up to the elites. we need classes like this and better every year EVERY YEAR.   we do this we cut the losses to 1-2 a year, espn had us 3rd rank class in the bigten.
