Yankees have 44 non roster players coming to big league camp.
IMO the Yankees are panicked right about now! Their infield is a mess with A Roid out, Jeter out for awhile, Texaria underperforming, and Cano the only regular worth anything right now. The OF isn't much better with Granderson in a tailspin. The rotation has some promise but isn't without question. And a reliever that is old and coming off a blown knee. Granted he was the best in the game but time catches up with everybody. The minor league system isn't on par with say the Rays and what they do have is New Yorled overhyped! They have brought alot of guys in that at best are 20-25 roster spot types. Funny I think the Orioles and Blue Jays have them really worried as they may fall behind the Rays, Jays, and Os! |

As for the Tigers system it needs work but with a relatively young roster they only need 3-4 guys to make it.
A middle infielder, an outfielder and a couple pitchers are what Detroit will need over the next 3-4 years. But if the roster gets shaken apart due to payroll all bets are off and the Tigers are in trouble. |

OF probably the deepest in the system (garcia, castellanos, Moya, Collins, schotts, fields and Vasquez ) probably a bit heavy in the OF as far as their top 20 prospects. middle IF probably on the light side. SP also on the light side, although i can see DD pulling the trigger on SP with their first 2 picks this June.

well with the Marlins trade the Tigers get their first round. the marlins CB pick and their second round. so they pick 21, 37 and I believe 58. They didn't pick last June until # 91. So they should be able to get some good talent. However the main issue is they need to get players outside of the first round to develop.
