How about the winner must be addressed by all invovled as the "Cub Board Master", and the person with the worst record has their avatar changed until the end of the year? |

That will work for me. The winner could also pick the avatar for the person with the worst record, and they have to wear it for a year. |

T-shirt or trophy works for me. I actually think it would be neat if this league could hold up for more than 1 season and have a running, passed around trophy.

The one with the worst record this season could then purchase the traveling trophy and send it to the winner ? The winner has to take a snapshot of the trophy and it becomes their avatar for the year. I am also willing to purchase the initial trophy also. It's up to you all. I'm here to help move this along with whatever is decided upon. It seems critical that we must get through this season first, from what I'm gathering. I don't want to accelerate things if some are not comfortable. |

No objections here.

WE NEED to prob put at least 50 bucks or something per team to at least ensure some people don't quit after 2 months. Alot some money for high score week for the year. High score player of the year, ect. Last thing we need is it to end up like the last Cubs board member when some idiot dropped all his/her players because he was salty about how bad his/her team was. Perhaps for all trades, we do something like if 3 people veto and the commish can see the reasoning for the veto, it gets veto'd |

High score player of the year, ect.Hey Jimbo. My opinion is that we should respect the fact that other league members are not comfortable playing for cash this year. Even if it's only one that prefers not to. Some want to see how this season plays out first and then give it a try for cash next year. I understand. We have had no issues with our NBA league this season and it's been very competitive. Although we are playing for bragging rights. Privacy is an issue for some and trust is another. Apparently there have been some issues in the past. I wasn't a part of it. It appears that the draft will be very important. If we have guys bailing out on their teams because they draft poorly or sustain multiple injuries and give up, we will know who those people are, and they WILL NOT be allowed to play in the private league next season. Even if we have to find another venue to do it. And those people will be labeled an "Epstein" for tanking the season. I've been in a keeper league for the last eleven years and have never met any of the people I've played against for cash. There have been no issues, payment problems, poor sportsmanship, or otherwise. Some of the team owners have changed hands with no hiccup. I have confidence that this group is capable of doing that at some point in the near future. I am all for starting a separate league- at a different venue- for cash in the meantime. Someone else can get that one going and I'm in. |

Reminder ......................DRAFT IS Sunday, March 10th at 7:00 PM ET.
Looking forward to "seeing" you all there. I cancelled my African Safari, Mt. Everest climb, seal clubbing trip to Antarctica, and turned down the Japanese government- to lead their engineering re-design team- on making their nuclear reactors tsunami proof, so I could give my undivided attention to our league this year. My favorite hobby, which is cornering the market on gold, will also be on hold. I doubt I'll have much time for internet porn either. |

Why is the draft so early? Season doesn't even start for a couple of weeks? My other 3 leagues all draft after the 20th.

Hi Jim.
The league's draft date was etched in stone over a month ago my friend. I included the date on the other thread "Private League Created" in the initial post. As far as I knew Crzy Jo was the only one that might have not been able to make it to the live draft, for business reasons, and had the balls to sign up anyway and compete. Drafting two weeks prior also gives some time to manipulate your line-up. Let's hope we have enough information on players like Scott Feldman and the likes before the start of April. Hope this works for you. |

Its not I dont trust yall. I just dont trust anyone. This is my idea. How about this year it is for bragging rights. Also, someone with some computer savy could make a Cubs board champion avatar to sport around for a year. Then if this is a good group and it continues next year then I would be more comfortable trusting money switching hands. Just my two cents. Fair enough Silence. If some are against and/or hesitant with money switching hands then we play for bragging rights only. So our league is for bragging rights ONLY and my offer is on the table for the winner ( I will send a custom t-shirt or throphy) if they are comfortable with me sending it to them. I'm all for an avatar and addressing the winner as "master", or any other unique things we can think of. |
