As long as VP's logic says Sam Bradford is a few great playoff performances away from being elite, I am all good with that.

Well then you won't be very good with that, since as I've already mentioned multiple times..... don't consider Flacco elite

Nor do I consider Bradford's regular season numbers identical to Flacco's

You said somthing like he is close to elite, so I will take that as well. Glad we finally cleared up your true opinion of Bradford. You had been fooling yourself for so long.

I said he's borderline at best, and that's based solely on him having a historically great postseason performance, culminating in a Super Bowl and SB MVP (even though I thought JJ was the most deserving)

Take away that, and he's a classic middle of the road QB. And that classic middle of the road QB has better numbers than Bradford, who is a below average QB

One more chance to redeem your intelligence card.

What else does Flacco have that Bradford does not other than his post season performances and team wins?

a career QB Rating 9 points points higher

a completion% at 60.5 (cause i've been told many times 60% is the mark)

Y/A at 7.1

highest amount of INT's in a season: 12, Bradford: 13, 15 in the only 2 years he's played 16 games.

Bradford 20 TD's 1, Flacco 4 times

He wants to include a caveat for every variable except the ones that are inconvient for his argument

So he wants to take into account Flacco's receivers.... but not the fact that Bradford plays on a fast track in a dome, or that he played 1 game in the last 2 months in a cold weather city (whereas Flacco played all but 2 games in a cold weather city)

And he wants to take into account Ray Rice.... but not the fact that Flacco's postseason performance (which is pretty much the only reason anyone considers him elite) was despite Ray Rice having like 14 fumbles in the postseason

Having a chitty supporting cast and offensive line is not a caveat. That is the meat and potatoes if you will.

The Ravens RBs had 4 fumbles all year long.

sigh.

when will you guys learn.

QB is in a league of its own.

Here you all are throwing around passing yards and TDs...

Tony Romo and Phillip Rivers throw lots of yards too...guess what, they are not "elite", I wouldn't even put either of them in my "second tier"

bottom line is QB's need to play well on 3rd downs, 2 minute drills, 4th quarters and playoff games.

QBs who do that will always be evaluated higher, always.

You forgot Red Zone. And I suppose to Bradford haters that having 17 rushing touchdowns doesn't make things easier on the QB.

Which number is larger 5 rushing TDs or 17?

Whats that?? You need an offensive line to run the ball?

In his time in the NFL, he has performed better than any other QB in the post season.

That is not elite?

I will argue that in the long run, over a season, Good pitchers win, bad pitchers lose!

Steve Carlton once one 25% of his teams entire wins for the season!!

I'll say it may have its significane in terms of HOF. Because having a bunch of wins does illustrate sustained sucess.

But really..I don't need W/l to tell me which pitcher was better, When I can just look at ERA and IP...
