Don't get me wrong UCONN, A deep threat has been a need since Moss was traded.

Lloyd is not the deep threat receiver that is needed. Neither is Branch. Or Edelman, or Welker.

Stallworth?  Uhmmm.....Two plays, one catch, done, no.

Branch, Edelman and Welker are all free agents, if they all walk (stranger things have happened) who handles the slot?

Lloyd? Doubt it. Gronk? Tough to cover when healthy AND Welker is out there. No slot guy, Gronkowski is no longer as hard to cover.

All I'm saying is he also brings versatility. He goes deep than Welker, runs the slot better than Lloyd, returns better than both although Edelman was off to a good start last year, and does everything better than Branch if only because of age.

Lost with the best deep threat ever, lost again without the best deep threat ever.

I agree, and i understand the concern if all the slot recievers walk. But the Vikings are going to want alot if they are going to trade him. I just don't think he is going to be worth giving up what the pats would have to to get him. Other teams are going too offer A lot for him. And if the pats win a bidding war they lose. Unless they get him for something reasonable he just isn't worth what he is going to command.
