10) I've seen several mock drafts showing the Bears taking Eifert or Ertz. I'm telling you, it aint happening. But Martellus Bennett, Jared Cook, and Brandon Myers are all real FA possibilities.

I don't believe that paying a lot of money for a tight end is what they need to do. I see at least four good tight ends in the draft and still think that Rodriquez should get a lot of snaps at the position next year. You are probably right. But, the guys worth picking up in the draft are going to be gone in the first 3 rounds. Possibly first 2 rounds. I would hope the Bears do not use either of those picks on a TE unless they land an OT as a FA. More, unless Trestman changes his colors, he's never been a guy who has made the TE a focus. In Oakland, he never had a TE catch 300 yards. In fact, as far back as I can find, the top TE ever with Trestman was Brent Jones who had 590 yards and 3 TD's... |
